"If that were true" - there are definitely fans saying that. "Bigger picture" of not going up - got to laugh. Just not a footballing city. Maybe if you get promoted you can just wind the club again and start lower down to compete in the glue leagues again.
Fair play though you've made us cry this season. Blyth, Lego ground falling down (funny how there were no calls for you to have points deducted which is what you'd called for last season when your first match was called off, you wanted the match to be awarded to you didn't you?), and then Dunston.
Tears of laughter here...

The only way we'll get our biggest game of the season back is if we're in the same division as Tranmere.
And your 'fans' don't want to play us next season. That would mean promotion and that's a no-no for them. Amazing. I do feel sorry for the reals fans like yourself.

Not sure what you're on about regarding Tranmere. It's a Derby but nothing quite compared to the Cross Boarder. It's Just a game like playing Crewe or Shrewsbury but it's like we'll both be playing them anytime soon.

I'd say last season was the first time it felt more 'special' against Tranmere(even though we did the double over you). The crowds were bigger, the atmosphere was much better, and the football was more competitive. Maybe if you'd stayed up the feeling might have returned (in fairness, I know you only brought 750-ish to us, but a lot might have had reservations due to lack of the bubble and both sides having their fair share of idiot supporters). With the bubble going, fans may have returned.

Fair play the usual Wrexham suspects who come on here are good for a laugh. It's inevitable that their club will fail once again in their quest for promotion. We are now probably joint favourites with Kidderminster (who we dispatched easily this month) and if we go up we will be playing Wrexham again next season to give them their cup final.
We achieve your dreams.

Tbh the Cross Boarder was killed by the bubble and I've not seen a decent crowd since the Football League days when we took 2,000 Just over 10 years ago, Non league football is pretty naff as well. The quality on show from both sides over the years have been terrible.
Tranmere proved they were never a non league team, not really.

Over the years I've often read how Chester fans are apparently obsessed with Wrexham and they don't really care about us, but the evidence is there that this just isn't true. I certainly don't remember many Chester fans going on Red Passion and banging on about Wrexham's 7-2 thrashing by Gateshead 10 weeks after the event, whereas some of them seem to want to bring up the Blyth result constantly even though it's becoming increasingly meaningless.

According to a Wrexham supporting friend you booed your team off last week? total crisis there, winning 1-0 and joint top. He's not happy though, Happy clappers have come back who have been missing for years.

He must have been in the MRS which has a fair share of moaners. I heard it had happened but honestly didn't hear it myself. It is a terrible crisis though. Top of the league (no longer joint) with the most points of any of the teams in the top 5 divisions.

Must be demoralising for the players, at a fan owned club as well.

As for us, more or so off the pitch has contributed to our crowds decreasing, they’ll be back they always do.

So you’ve had trouble off the pitch and the fans stay away? That sounds familiar.

Still think looking in from the outside that one out of Orient or Salford will win it. Looks like Wrexham have a series of away games coming up (and a tough home game against Orient), the sort of run that will determine whether they are seriously in the mix or not.

Ricketts favourite for the Shrewsbury Job. Bigger Club and all that but I can’t see it happening. Keates was a one off as it was his boyhood Club. Compo will put the Shrews off more than likely.

Shrewsbury are ten times the club Wrexham are. Another club who achieves their dreams. Ricketts should cut his teeth at a small club like Wrexham in the first instance. Like a baby trying to run before he can walk.

I don't think he will go, Shrewsbury have already tried a non league manager and it didn't work.

Massive money that.. 140k just for 3 games in the FA Cup?. You need to take the chance and bank on a 20 goal striker otherwise you'll miss out this year and it'll be another 5 years until you hit the play offs again.

That doesn’t include any gate receipts. Another 54k if we beat Newport.

North v South is always a bit fiery.

Don’t forget the 200 quid compensation coming their way for Ricketts is the Name and Judas from Shrewsbury.

Honestly can’t see many Newport travelling up for a Saturday night fixture that’s live on the box three weeks before Christmas.
