We have enough board members and money to continue operating as a business. We are in the 2nd round of the cup on national television. Have just signed a player from two leagues above. All our home fixtures have been fulfilled, and our ground hasn’t fallen apart. We haven’t employed an individual without carrying out correct checks, then sack him the following day, only finding out from a fans forum that he’s a dodgy chap. But yes, we’re a joke........ |

Shropshire media reporting that Ricketts is on the verge of joining Shrewsbury. The ex Macc Manager Askey might be worth looking at. Pearson going in Jan just in case Wrexham lose him to a free transfer. Wheels falling off 4 months early? 👀

Given what’s just happened with Askey I’m surprised Shrewsbury would be quite so keen to go for a man whose managerial experience consists of less than half a season a couple of divisions lower and who they will have to pay a fair amount of compensation for. Ricketts has had a decent start at Wrexham, but it’s far too early to say that he’s going to be a managerial success long-term.
