We're associate members of the Football League. All this 'piss off and play in the Welsh League' rhetoric doesn't make sense. Chester were more than happy to play in the Welsh Cup? And took the competition very seriously. There was no resting players by Chester in the early 70's etc for games? A time when Chester fans keep telling me 'we had a hell of a side then' blah blah blah You only won the Welsh Cup twice, compared to our record 23 times - and yes, you were playing in the very same competition each and every one of those years! That club's pinnacle was a semi-final in the League Cup 1975. Nothing else. Nothing. The Cheshire Cup? What are Tranmere Rovers doing in it? Why did the English F.A use The Millennium Stadium in Wales for the F.A Cup Final instead of an English ground whilst Wembley was being rebuilt? It's funny 'cos half your fanbase is Welsh? Those living in Chester estates live in buildings named in Welsh? Nant Peris flats etc etc  Why don't you try and write that in your own language? Wrexham won many of their Welsh Cup titles in an era when North Wales clubs dominated the competition during Queen Victoria's reign. Since Cardiff won their first competition their record was much better than Wrexham's. Also, English clubs couldn't qualify for Europe via the Welsh Cup,so I would suggest the level of motivation was different. The fact that Wrexham have played Chester over 150 times doesn't say much for Wrexham's 'massive' status.
