One thing the new regime needs to be a little careful about is that small local businesses that have helped sponsor the club for years during some barren times do not suddenly get priced out of the market. The goalposts have well and truly moved with the arrival of Reynolds and co in terms of the pulling power of the club and the shirt sponsorship deal was always likely to rocket. But that shouldn't mean that a local firm that has, for example, had a pitchside advertising board for 20 years should have to give way to a global organisation that can offer a fair bit more cash but whose bosses had never even heard of the club a year ago.

When the takeover was just about signed off Ryan Reynolds and the other fella did a spoof thing about Ifor Williams trailers, the current shirt sponsors, and they were obviously over the moon as it gave them free publicity that they could only have dreamed of. I wonder how the people at Ifor Williams Trailers are feeling now, given that the club's then commercial director said 'it was important that the club stayed true to its heritage and felt the partnership with Ifor Williams Trailers, which started in 2016, was the perfect fit because their community spirt matched their own ethos as a club which was owned and run by the fans', unless of course they're one of the companies itching to hand over £2M for the new shirt sponsorship deal?

Someone on Red Passion is probably the answer. The stuff posted on here about the Gateway development and work on the Kop need to be viewed as speculation at present. True the Welsh Government has pledged 25 million towards the scheme, an attempt to keep two seats in the forthcoming election. The have been very careful not to commit any money to the Kop part of the scheme. More importantly around 60 million more in funding is required and given the current economic climate that could be a very big ask. Wrexham fans getting enthusiastic about buildings being demolished and work being imminent should reflect that the Kings Arms and surrounding buildings were demolished in 2003 and the old Cinema was demolished in 2009. Both sites are still derelict. Wrexham do have new wealthy owners and a new CEO so perhaps they should be happy with that rather than making stuff up or getting over excited about buildings being knocked down. You sound like a WST supporter ? Trying to tie in other areas of Wrexham that have not moved to the development stage is a bit low ! We are all aware that its election time at the Welsh Assembly but there are quite a few organisations involved this time to ensure that this project does start and finish. The stand will be built and hopefully in the next few years . Our new owners have clearly stated that they want the ground to be redeveloped and let's see what happens. Yes the story regarding £2.1m front of sport sponsor is true and our electronic advertising boards are now being installed with another £800000 a season in advertising in the pipeline. Have you got the link confirming this amazing story? I must of missed it. Cheers.

I dont have 100% confirmed proof that this £2.1m per year sponsorship is true but strong roumers are it came from an existing sponsor. are you really a Chester supporter or what ?

To be fair, there’s a transfer window in that league isn’t there?

Deadline day was at the end of March, which wasn’t that long ago. Wrexham are subject to FAW rules so we couldn't sign anyone after January window closed and takeover was completed in Feb. Unless they were unattached prior to Jan window opening which is either shit players or kids

Effectively there are six teams fighting for 3 play off places left, i have included Eastleigh in that with their games in hand.
The Goats (5th) play Notts County (6th at home on Tuesday, which is a huge game for both teams. The Goats have Kings Lynn at home and Dagenham away last game. County have Weymouth home and Bromley away, who can also still make the play offs.
Goats should beat KL and County should beat Weymouth, which means Countys game against Bromley could well decide the final place, if they dont get anything from the Goats. Two of the other contenders, Halifax and Chesterfield also play each other, so that will be points dropped. Interesting times and i cant quite decide whether i want the Goats to make the play offs and bottle them again or completely miss out.

They've given a bonus pot and we've signed freebies from down the pyramid or u23s. Most of them didn't have a club start of the season so aren't exactly great. Wst reduced the budget a lot. Based on gates of 2500 I think. Usually it's 3800/4000. Hopefully we jammy our way up this season. I don't think we will. Stockport are too good. If not be interesting summer if Keates stays or not and what type of players we can get in

no doubt you lot have had a good season, but there is tough competition for the final play off places. i think if you loose tonight that will be the end of your year and another stay in the national league...i personally feel you aren't quite as good as county, but no doubt you been getting better by every game, its going right down to the wire...but come next season with your owners deep pockets you should and also be expected to walk it....

Have a great next season

We won't get promoted this season and most Wrxham supporters did not expect that. However, I can't wait for the end of this season to see who our new management team will be and no doubt new players.
Despite some of the comments you must be jealous as hell at the recent announcements a few miles down the road (I would say across the border but we are both in Wales) - rich owners, money from the WG, stadium redevelopment, television series and loads more! The future looks bright.
We will enjoy the ride - you just keep on laughing (lovely to see) and like I said have a great next season.

I can't wait until the end of the season when your new owners announce that Keates has had his contract extended. Would you all be bowing down before Rob and Ryan if that happened?

Reading today’s news about the stadium redevelopment plans, I must say I am envious. Fair play it looks as if the Hollywood mob are properly invested in this “project” (hate that term).
Only issue of course is, who owns the land/stadium. Remember Gutterman and Hamilton?

Not jealous at all, although I must say I do look forward to watching the documentary trailing a further 2 seasons stuck in non-league 😉.

Not sure what the WG is? However I was convinced Wrexham would have made a success of being a fan owned Club. I don't get the TV Series nonsense though it's just a football club, I never understood the Sunderland one.
