George has turned down a contract at FCUM. He's played 72 games and scored 32 since joining from us. I think we should be looking at resigning him. He didn't get a fair crack at this level under Burr and would have a point to prove. He'd certainly be an improvement on Durrell

If much rather big solid no nonsense side that can get results and sign a good striker to play with White.

Agree with all of this. He didn't really have much of a chance to impress under Burr but by judging with his stats, I would like to see him return.

Like what others have said Thompson didn't really get a look in under Burr so I'd love to see him back but McCarthy would probably play him left back.

Probably Burr's biggest faux pas letting him go, but I suspect he is setting his sight's higher than perennial struggle with us.

Can't see it happening. Not sure he fits into a 4-4-2. Unless you play him upfront in just behind the front man, but then we have just Harry White and James Akintunde as forwards. We'd need a big man up there to act as a foil for him in my opinion. Would be nice to see him come back but I don't think it will happen.
I can see him ending up at Salford or maybe Halifax

Always thought he was more than good enough, and that we may regret letting him go.

Would like to see him back at Chester. A proven goalscorer at CN is just tge sort of player we should consider. George would be better than most of the present midfield never mind the forwards

I was disappointed when we let him go, as I thought at the time he hadn't been given a fair crack of the whip. I thought he was better than other players at the time.

has signed for harrogate town Full time football with Harrogate 😲 Money talks. Weren't Harrogate meant to have had money when we were in the conference north?, They seem to be taking their time getting out of that league!
