Of course Tranmere.
They could easily sell more

I'm quite surprised actually as they could easily fill up the west stand.

Didn't realise it was all ticket - away fans only? I'm expecting it to be all ticket. It was last year.

We should be giving Wrexham, Tranmere and anyone else who wants it the whole west stand, we used to with no issues.

Am I right in believing we’re still not up to capacity with the safety certificate? If not and only a percentage of each stand can be filled then the Main stand and Harry Mac combined might only allow a maximum of 3,000 Chester fans in if we give up the West Stand to away fans as well. Doesn’t seem like a wise move to restrict home tickets to such an amount when we’re trying to attract new fans. We got that amount in for Wrexham, a game that some are steering clear of.
Not worth it just for a quick few quid from Tranmere in my opinion. In an ideal world of course there wouldn’t be seats in the South Stand.

Leave the West stand alone thank you very much, at least my bit :-)

This is a question I was going to beg, will this be all ticket for home fans? You would imagine so! As for the allocation given to Tranmere fans, surely we could have just put them in the West Stand aswell as the Clock End? Big chance of a payday for us and a bumper gate. Friday night football, a local derby on the TV? We should be getting 4,000 for this easily. The club didn't do enough to promote the Wrexham game you felt, but if we get it right this time, let people know of the fact it's a Friday night, let people know its on TV and this should swell the numbers. We've got a month to get the message out there as a football club. I know for a fact I'm bringing my mate who's going to sample his first ever football match (and he's getting married the following day - I'm not sure if we are being sensible about this or not!) and if he enjoys it, he'll come back. That's the point. Get new fans down. Easier said than done I know, but if we advertise properly, then we can't say the club didn't try.

Thanks,

I'd give them the clock end and half the West.

You can see both sides of the argument re. the allocation (who actually decides the number and how much input do the clubs and rozzers have?) Either way, this really should be a game where there isn't an empty seat in the ground. I would find it embarrassing to see the Tranmere area(s) completely full and loads of blue plastic in the home seats. The game is not that far away really and I'd like to see the club busting a gut to "sell" it to the locals

It'll be down to the Cheshire police no doubt. Cheshire Police have no problem with them having 2k at Macclesfield. Granted it's not as high risk a fixture but we've had 3 games pass off relatively trouble free now, with no issues at our home game last season.

Fully agree, we are fan owned and rely on numbers through the turnstiles. If tranmere bring more fans than us, who cares? It's £18 per adult head in our sky rockets!

Will we see a crowd of 4,000+ ever again at the Deva Stadium. It seems very unlikely.
Hard to believe that we had 5,000+ for the Northwich Vics game. That will probably never be beaten as a crowd for the newco.
Real Shame that when you consider some of the 5-figure crowds we got at the Old Lady in the 60s.

A good cup run and a Premiership side in 3rd Round should get us a 4k gate.
Not going to happen anytime soon I fear 😒
