I have an afternoon off and wondered if the Car Boot Sale is on in the Car Park Today.
Can't find any info anywhere.
Many thanks

Obviously too late now but for future reference, yes it is on every Sunday. Hopefully you decided to take a chance and go.

Really wouldn't hurt the club to promote on twitter and facebook

Really wouldn't hurt the club to promote on twitter and facebook Exactly what I was thinking. They've literally tweeted about 3 things in the past fortnight. Could even have a few social media sponsorships where tweets every so often are put out, or even promote existing sponsors to add value to their sponsorship, but nothing is being done... so so typical of this football club.

To be fair to the club the car boot is run by a firm that's paid the club upfront for use of the car park. It's up to that firm to promote their car boot, the club gets paid the same if no one turns up or if 1000s turn up.

Echo your thoughts, who cares who turns up if we get the rental income from the firm....it's not for the club to advertise their car boots, unless they want to pay us advertising costs.

Even West Kirby FC manage to advertise their car boot sales on Facebook. Granted it's about the only thing they do talk about and the posts are absurdly long, but still.

See your point but can't see that happening.... Not as if they'll have a mid week car boot sale it wouldn't bring the numbers with work folk etc. Saturday's game day every other week during the season, which leaves Sunday that they already pay us for.

Alright, I see your thinking there. Although they'd probably be more willing to pay a higher price if it is a money maker for them. So we could benefit from bigger profit margins for this event. Do we open the Blues Bar for this too? Any idea how much it works it as per week in revenue for the club? The ground being in the middle of nowhere does come with the benefit that people will be more willing to buy food and drink from the Blues Bar.

Regards bar I couldn't comment, but I believe it brings in 7k a year for us allowing the boot sales to take place. They guy running them makes a very nice return on that too.
