Nobody seems to know Dave.. We're a fan-owned club but the fans know F**k all. It's like a secret society.
Who gave McCarthy the 2-year extension and did the board vote on it ... indeed did they even debate the pros and cons?

Oh! Pardon me for caring about our club's finances. If we are still paying Burr off, it will impact on the budget, but it doesn't really matter does it, paying dead money. |

What a moronic post! Don't you care where (and how much) money from the club (OUR club) goes? If not, why not just give Maguire a cheque so he can spend it on something that you don't know about? |

The fact that tarvinblue has liked your post should tell you all you need to know about the nature of it. The board gave a 2 year contract to Macca, I don't recall anyone objecting to this at the time, but if you did please enlighten us. If you don't like what an elected board does then you and anyone else who is a CFU member (are you?) can vote for others. You can even stand yourself (perhaps you can link up with tarvinblue on a dream - or would that be nightmare - ticket?). As to knowing the details of employment contract terminations then no, you won't know and indeed you shouldn't know. As someone who deals with these type of things all the time in my day job I would be horrified of the details of a legally confidential settlement agreement for the early termination of employment was made public in any workplace. You are free to study our accounts of course, and ask questions about staffing costs at CFU meetings (and I would encourage anyone to do so) but I suspect that would never be enough for you would it? |

I give my fair share of cash to the club, but no I didn't re-join the CFU last season because fan-owned ought to mean that we get to know basic things such as the awarding and severing of contracts. It's isn't a competition on here to see who's the biggest superfan, and I've never seen dragonslayer post as if he thinks he is. We're all fans with different opinions, some of the name calling is a bit childish above. I've seen Tarvin Blue post things I agree with and disagree with, but I'll always respect a posters opinion unless it's completely outrageous. |
