So the long awaited news is out and season ticket offers are available. How many are we expecting to sell by August's big kick off?

I reckon probably the same as usual. Somewhere between 800-1100 with the kids ones included I'd guess.
There was a lot of anger at the end of the season, but the close season seems to last forever and we'll all catch the bug again over summer.

Hopefully make a few decent signings in the next few weeks otherwise I can see us struggling around the 6-700 mark.

600 max, including children's season tickets. 30 to 40% down on last season is my estimate.

The key is going to be signings. There needs to be 2-3 big ones to raise spirits. I'm not convinced the lack of football with ensure season ticket sales. There was a strength of feeling at the end of last season amongst a large number of fans. Think many will pay on the day and see how it goes. Has to be remembered that 500 fans disappeared over the closed season last year, despite the lack of football. We will be lucky to break 700 in my view. Our aim has to be to sell 1000+ next season though. That's surely a target being set to our CEO who will have been at the helm for 2 years by then, so this season needs to build towards that.

The only way to get over 700/800 season tickets sold will be to get 4/5 good quality experienced players in sooner rather than later that the fans can get excited about or bring in Graham Barrow as manager

Will you ever surpass the sale of '7,000 replica tops' announced at Vaughan's AGM? I bet the cost of cleaning the clubs' offices has come down a bit as well. 600 is my guess.

How many did we sell last season out of interest? I don't mean Cestrian 10 etc, just season tickets sold before the start of the season. Surely it's an absolute given with a CEO now in place and a campaign organised by him that we outsell that number? That would begin to show his impact in real terms.

Think the fact 90% of the fanbase want the manager gone might mean we're not going to outsell last seasons figure. Out of interest, are you buying a season ticket after all your ranting on here?

Out of interest, are you buying a season ticket after all your ranting on here? 90% of the fanbase want the manager gone? Thought we were just a vocal minority? Oh, and if 90% of the fanbase want him gone, it beggars the question as to why the club isn't listening as aren't we meant to be fans owned? Where is the connection between those on the inside and those on the outside? I won't be purchasing a season ticket for the first time since we reformed, as I have zero faith in the management of the football club. If there is a Cestrian 10 offer, I will purchase one of those instead. That will allow me to be flexible, and if it turns out as expected I will be able to pick and choose games. Call me a non-fan, call me what you like - most of those on the inside probably will - but I am confident using your statistics that my view is shared by 90% of the others. Those on the inside should be considering where this blind, deluded faith will eventually leave us - most probably in 24th place, playing in front of crowds of 1,300 and with serious questions about the future financial structure of the club.

I find it hard to disagree with most of what you have said TB. From what I heard around me in C block and fans I know, that figure would be closer to 100% had it not been for the nightmare decision to extend his contract! (For which no one has admitted responsibility!). I can’t think of a single, sensible footballing reason for JM to still be here. Nevertheless as a diehard and hopeless optimist, I will be renewing my normal quota of season tickets given the pricing structure, as I feel to do otherwise would be entirely counterproductive. But as a result of the very poor product on offer for most of last season, and the prospects for significant improvement looking at best slight, how on earth are latent and casual supporters to be enticed back? Well let’s hope for some good, experienced signings to at least build some enthusiasm and momentum, but looking at JMs recruitment track record even with some of the anticipated Sam Hughes fee, I have very little confidence in his ability to secure these. Unfortunately the scenario TB paints is realistic, and hope the position is not irretrievable by mid December.

If it was just based on wanting to watch entertaining, winning football I wouldn't touch a season ticket for next season with a barge pole. I have very little confidence that John McCarthy will find the right acquisitions in the player market to take us forward. That said the reason why I will buy season tickets for myself and my son are despite the negatives the future of our fan owned club will depend on us, the fans sticking with the club on the inevitable rollercoaster ride.

Oh and also, I was told two 14 year olds had come in by themselves with £50 in cash each getting their first ever season tickets. Brilliant! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Brilliant! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 And it wasn't me, because I already get a free season ticket 😉😉. Kudos to them though, forking out £50 for a Chester season ticket when people of that age are more likely to spend their money on purchasing the latest Nike tracksuit or north face clothing etc. We need a few more of them to generate our next generation. Good lads 👍.

So just a question that helpfully someone can answer. I've got 2 under 12 kids so do they both get a free season ticket or is it just 1 per paying adult.

I would presume they both get a free ticket if the adult pays. It would seem a bit harsh if you have to pay for one of them if they are both your kids.

I presumed it'd be one child ticket per paying adult. Although in cases like this I'd like to see club help families out and extend the offer to another child after all they are plugging the FREE SEASON TICKET FOR UNDER 12s as the main selling point (obviously within reason, no fellas turning up with half of Blacon saying they're all his, although likely)

I haven't had the letter from the club inviting me to renew my season ticket - have others on here received theirs?
