Don’t know if there’s anyone else here that goes, but would really recommend a trip down to watch the ice hockey.
Fast paced, skilful and physical game and great evening out for the kids with reasonable prices to match.
600-650 in there tonight which is more than most teams in our league get.
Also, better scraps than watching a Fury fight !

Yeah used to watch them when they were called Flintshire Freeze about 25 years ago, was always a cracking Sunday night out.
Three hours for 60 minutes of action though… 😩

My wife and I have season tickets - Works out quite well as most of their home games are on a Sunday, so don't clash with Chester (although it does mean missing the 4pm Sky slot, which is often a big game).
Got to agree with FOP in that you need to write off a few hours if you want to take in a 60 minute match.

Similarly, I go and watch Cheshire Phoenix basketball in Ellesmere Port. Home games tip off on Sunday's at 6pm. The top level of basketball in this country, fully professional with a lot of American imports on show. Took me a while to fully grasp the rules and the tactical elements, but would fully recommend it to anyone who likes watching top class sport on their doorstep. They do great work in the community too, and there's always a lot of kids enjoying themselves at the games.

I used to go and watch the Jets for a period many years ago when they played at Northgate Arena. They were a very good team and won a lot of trophies.

You'd be suprised how long a 60 minute football match would last, if the clock was stopped every time the ball went out of play. NHL Ice Hockey games last even longer than games over here as there are regular breaks in each period for TV ads added in as well over there.
