Looking through the spine of that team - Lynch, Halls, Shaw, White. Midfield is where we need a couple of big signings next. Ever since we have returned to the National League, midfield is where we have been over run.

I'd love us to have a good go at signing Kingsley James, if Macclesfield are continuing to lose their players. He has the bite we need and have missed ever since he left, George never replaced him. |

Already a little team we can put together:
Lynch
Halls Jones Astles Horwood
Chappell Shaw Joyce Mahon
White Akintunde
Realistically, where we need new signings:
Lynch
Halls [new] Astles Horwood*
Chappell* Shaw* [new] Mahon
White Akintunde*
*possible improvements needed but I think those players will do okay in those roles, not as important as where we need a new signing full stop. All depends on the budget available. Shaw is good enough but assistant duties will affect his game time. So for me, we are looking at needing a new centre back or two, left back, winger, two centre mids and another striker. I think I remember Macca stating he wanted four strikers not three next season, we have three right now so let's add another. Ross Hannah? #dreamland |

What concerns me is Macca said he wants 3 or 4 quality additions, and assuming Halls and Hannah are two, that leaves only one or two more. If Sutton is a quality addition too, that means no more or just one. We still need a quality left back and centre mid... |

I would bin Lloyd personally I think he let us down a lot second half of the season, as did many in fairness. I'd go for a more dominating centre midfielder. The perfect player would be Jay Harris...which people may not agree with. It won't happen as he made the gam of the year, but we miss that bulldog type central player. |
