So they cancelled the April meeting as well ,and didnt tell anyone ! Disgraceful .They are clearly bottling it until we are mathematically safe

Just had a look at CFU website. All references to April meeting, including in the piece about new board member give date as the 20th April.

Could always have been edited. The quote from the Chairman in the article announcing the new board member definitely stated 13th April.

I stand corrected, if the date has been changed and this has not been effectively communicated and a plausible explanation given then that is very poor. Misleading your hard core membership is hardly likely to encourage people to remain committed or impress others who may consider joining. Come on Directors get your act together, even the most even minded of us are getting pushed the limit of our patience.

Best place to ask that question is at the CFU meeting on Thursday or get on to the streaming of the meeting if you cant attend as I will be doing that. Very easy to email questions during the meeting.
Personally I think Alan got a bit fed up with the negativity he got on here which was not very constructive.
There is a lot more to running the Club and making the decisions than most of us really get to know about.
I don't really get why more fans dont go to CFU meetings to raise concerns. It's totally pointless ranting on here or is it for some misplaced glory?
If nothing else if you have a concern and raise it you at least have the right then to raise it again if the action/promise fails to happen. Surely this is how a fans run club should be run? Not just speak to yourself on social media and hope things will change?

Nothing wrong in going to CFU meetings though and joining in the night. £12 and you have every right then to influence how the club is being run. Although there is a lot of moaning on here behind every moan is a real passion for Chester to do well which has turned into huge disappointment that it isn't hsppening. It would be so much better if that energy and passion could be put to more effective use like those fans on the Harry Mac are doing to get the atmosphere going. I do think some fans on here have some great ideas which they could themselves make happen but again sadly it is pointless just posting on here. Again that's what the CFU meetings are for. Until fans realise that a fans owned club is responsible for its own destiny through what each and everyone of us puts in then we are never going to progress. |

We're now at the stage where communication is coming out from the club but the details are incorrect. People turned up last night for a non-existent CFU meeting based on a line in a recent press release regarding a newly co-opted board member. Quote from the Chairman... “The whole board look forward to working with him, and CFU members will have the opportunity to meet David at the next CFU meeting on Thursday April 13th.” Yet there was no meeting. In view of the obvious split and dissatisfaction amongst many in the clubs supporter base ,regarding the performance and obtuse comments coming from our manager Jon McCarthy, would the board of directors please communicate to the masses (supporters/ customers) in the next couple of days, whether they back Mr McCarthy. If they would communicate their views, it will allow moderate and die hard fans alike, the opportunity to make personal decisions as to how they spend their hard earned monies in the coming months . |
