I just popped over to dc1 expecting a thread about dc2 banning guests and how it's all going to be ok. But all I saw was RSS being the main poster on there and only 4 replies to the Ross Hannah thread.
After the whole dc2 is doomed because of guests and it's being ruined for everyone brigade, I would have expected rejoicing in the streets by now...
Let's face it old co members, dc1 is dead. You may as well stop posting there

I don't see much point in these remaining posters on dc1 protesting and staying there. Your forum is dead now and you may as well come to here where you will have hundreds more members to debate with, after all this our Chester Football Club and we need to stick together as one.

Never been a fan of this old devachat new devachat, DC 1/ DC 2 debate.
I would like to think it's the same forum, it's just moved house, I miss sealand road and the atmosphere it generated in its day, it doesn't mean I sit in TK Maxx on a match day thinking everyone else will join me some time soon, we moved ground, we followed, we moved ISP address, we should do the same and continue what we have done for years, debated everything on the blues, all other football chat and everything else, together.

The point is, we did what they were all moaning about, but now they still want to stay there.
I guess it's fine as it is, just don't start complaining that there's a divide in the fanbase all you loyal dc1'ers. Because as far as I see it, you are causing the divide.

Love the way the mods ignore the fact its their moderating which is the problem, as well as having no new members. 3mm is a good mod, but his support of CE is a joke. Canadian exile and Devon blue are part of the problem and even if new member were accepted, with them in charge it wont work.
Devon Blue banned me for NO good reason, like many others, so after nearly 9,000 posts I'm no longer welcome.
Ill stick with this one.

Leave them to it. I was just making the point that they can't criticise us for allowing guests to post anymore. And it's all gone quiet over there.
The mods have a board which has 10 active posters on it. That's what they have always wanted so I hope they are happy with themselves.

I've spent hours trawling through Devachat archives looking through fans reactions throughout our Chester City days. Devachat was actually created before I was even born. A great place for me a other younger fans to look back through our history as you say. It's a shame though, that when fans of other clubs want to see our fans' reaction to something, they always go onto the old Devachat where they see about 2 replies, without knowing there's plenty more of comments on here. |

A few of us still have indefinite bans on the old site (unless we live to the year 275807) and I for one am happy over here. Why the fuss over having two forums? I think it's rather melodramatic to talk about a divided fanbase.
