But if numbers of people from here, are going to be checking on the numbers of people on there... wouldn't that mean that the numbers on there would be artificially higher because of the addition of lots of people from here?!

There are no 'traitors' Johnny, we are all Blues and there is room for everyone so live and let live I say.
In terms of numbers on each site though things seem pretty one-sided, as of a couple of minutes ago the Dagenham match thread on each site was:
Old DC - 35 replies - 1,711 views
New DC - 163 replies - 4,193 views
