We do seem to have problems against limited, physical teams who sit back and park the bus.

Late goals for Curzon and Alfreton didn't help make it look like a point gained, rather than 2 lost. Then again Scarborough lost at Banbury. We still have to play away at Scunthorpe, Tamworth and Brackley, so the theory that we do better against more attack minded teams will be put to the test.

Type of game we should be winning if want to be serious contesters Amount 0-0 draws over the years in this league part the reason were still here... Hopefully beat Banbury saturday. I think we've got to try not to get too hung up on the idea of games we at the final hurdle. "should be winning". We're not going to go up automatically, so it's just a case of being solid enough to finish in the playoffs and then beat the teams around us, which we have actually been doing this season. As long as we finish in the playoffs it basically doesn't matter that we can't win at places like King's Lynn. You are right in that all that matters is how we perform in the play off matches. However going into those games on a high based on success against top teams could affect the outcome.

We do seem to have problems against limited, physical teams who sit back and park the bus. It is a very annoying away tactic which we also adopt on occasions ourselves but my very naïve philosophy after watching Chester for over 63 years is if you have the confidence and believe in your teams abilities to play attacking football at home why adapt different tactics away [wait a minute while I get my crash helmet on!!] However my solutions to solve the existing "parking the bus" problem below may be too radical for some as well :- 1.We start the game 0-0 with no points so if the game finishes 0-0 you get no points but still get one point for a score draw, after all the underlying fundamental principle of Football is to score more goals than the opposition says he with the lasting memory of 1964/65 when we scored 75 home goals and 44 away goals. I know we only finished 8th that season but that was entertainment. 2.Even more radical is 4 points for an away win......WOW 3.An extra point for scoring 3 goals or more....home or away With this I off to my fantasy world because I know the Football League and FA are not as forward thinking as the Rugby League and Union officials who have already adopted new rules and regulations to improve the entertainment value for the fans.

Can't agree with any of that, sorry. A 0-0 means you've matched the other team over 90 minutes. Just because the game starts 0-0 doesn't mean it's no achievement if it finishes 0-0. Your proposal means a team would get no points for drawing 0-0, but one point for losing 10-3!

Decent pasty and chips. Town Centre location. Pretty dull affair though.
