Definitely. If the culprit was shooting to kill, he'd have killed. Instead he ends up shooting the tip of his ear, leaving him with a flesh wound. I bet it takes a well-paid, skilled operator to pull off a shot like that... It's worked as well, "Trump took a bullet for his country". He just booked his ticket back to the White House. |

Yeah, it's easy to find yourself going down a conspiracy theory rabbit hole on the internet and nothing would surprise me with Trump, but it doesn't really add up in this case given that the gunman died and so did an audience member.
Hard to believe though that the bullet just nicked his ear and left him otherwise unharmed, and that minutes later he was raising his fist in a photo opportunity. Very little seems to be understood about the shooter as well, apparently a Republican Party member who had donated to Democrat-leaning groups. Whatever his motive he's handed Trump the presidency on a plate.

Some of the rhetoric during the debate and the weeks since by Trump, Vance and other MAGA loons has been nothing short of shameful and abhorrent. Thankfully it looks like the American people with IQs over 60 are finally realizing what a total shitshow these guys are heading up, and Trump bigging up Lara Loomer is hopefully the nail in the coffin of his campaign. |

The fact that he won't go away is a sign that the centre and centre-right has only limited staying power. Biden, Macron, Starmer...nobody likes these guys. They get in for one term because people crave some sort of normality, but they just continue quietly plodding in the same direction.
