Better to let them score after 2 minutes than play the whole game with 10 men, I think. Exactly my thoughts, silly decision Not something that goes through a defender's head at that moment. Imo I'd take the red card ahead of conceding a goal.

Well played everyone. Let's hope that they aren't too knackered for Saturday

Cracking win that. Could easily have folded and done a Marske. Shame we didn't have a better draw but fancy us to get a draw up there.

We do make hard work of it but they've dug in there and got the win. A few seasons ago we would have caved.

It’s just about getting through isn’t it. One game (maybe two) away from the PROPER.

Fair play Cal deserves a lot of credit for that performance with 10 men chance against Scarborough and a shot at £40k in the first round if we beat Scarborough could be massive this.

Well done. Not ideal to have a 10 v 11 midweek game but we're through and a few days until the next fixture.

Icing on the cake with this is that the Leamington game is now postponed.
Which is good for me as it’s a relatively easy game to get to as an exile and I couldn’t make the original date.

Poor crowd and very little atmosphere in the ground but the players battled and Harrison didn’t really have a save to make such was the screen put in front of him by the players, we missed a couple of sitters again which could have made it a bit more comfortable but onto the next round.

Speaking of screens any sign of the electronic scoreboard yet? Does it look like it will be big?

First outing on Saturday will be interesting to see lay out, clarity of picture etc

Thought Ken was saying the players had moved the new scoreboard in front of our goal after we went down to 10 men. Would have made a change from parking the bus I suppose.

Terrible start but full praise to the squad and Cal for digging in and bagging the win. I feared it might all be against us on the night when Kurt hit the post but we showed immense character. It has also tipped the scales in favour of going to Scarborough now, they certainly deserve the support after that performance.

We're down to 10 already, Rawlinson lost possession as last man and pulled down their striker, literally 2 minutes in, poor decision making from Rawlinson poor, i say stupid decision, their man gets a goal and we have 87 minutes and 11 men to equalizer. beggars' believe a seasoned pro make such a missake.

Good gritty performance. Thought Woodthorpe, Burke, Bainbridge and Roberts were excellent tonight. Didn't miss a tackle. Whole team worked really hard and we created 3 or 4 reasonable chances.
Thought Peers should have scored from the Caton cross when he missed the ball completely. Should have gone with his left foot?
Did all our strikers go off with slight injuries tonight? They all got caught by a defender just before they went off. Hopefully they'll be OK.
The red card was maybe a 50/50 decision. The player was 35 yards out and Burke may have got across. Really poor by Rawlinson though. Strangely the referee seemed to give less and less as the game went on. He was inconsistent and wrong more often than he was right. Luckily there wasn't a poor challenge in the game.
Hopefully we can get past Scarborough and the magic of the FA cup goes on...

Red card affected our normal game so we had to dig in and battle. Players showed great character. Everyone put a hell of a shift in.Extra time would have drained us for Saturday. A few players got knocks . Burke was knocked about pretty bad and was out on his feet at the end . Enjoyed his mazy run second half. Ref let them kick us to death but booked our lads for the slightest foul. Central defenders looking scarce now!!!

Fair play to the ten players who battled well against the twelve.
Burke immense again ably assisted by Chester’s Mr Dependable Kev Robert’s.
As for Rawlinson I’m struggling to see what the hype is all about. There are far better centre backs at the club in Pollock (when fit),Burke and Roberts.

The sending off made for an interesting game but really it was more of a good training session for the lads as Stockton were awful.

As much as a silly decision it was to get sent off early on we wouldn’t even have had a game tonight if it wasn’t for him last Saturday

Got the job done, good effort with ten men for so long. Understood dropping Bainbridge back initially, but we missed his presence in midfield and Kev's experience proved really valuable so a good sub there. We still had decent chances, Stockton had more possession than they otherwise would have done and got in to a couple of decent areas, but they only really made Harrison come out to collect a few things rather than force him in to any saves.
I liked Stockton's number 3, Josh Baggs, he's been their best player in both games by miles. One of the North East clubs in our league should look at him.

We just about deserved the win over the 2 games.
It was very difficult after the sending off but fair play to Cal Mac trying to get the crowd going during the second half. Exactly the sort of passion you want to see from a manager.

Our attendance tonight of 1397 was roughly equal to that of Boston, Oldham, Halifax & Woking all put together, in the NL cup. Seems the appetite for FA Cup replays is somewhat higher than for that competition. Main thing was the result, daft sending off by Rawlinson who can have no complaints. Bainbridge was immense tonight, absolutely everywhere, my MOTM with an honourable mention to Burke who was class & scored a header in the cup, as he does.
