We need a good start to a tricky run of fixtures - otherwise mid table mediocrity beckons (yet again). Possible changes to tactics and formations and starting 11 have been done to death in other threads - regardless of the result, I want to see a positive reaction to the last game from Cal and the team, with everyone playing like their lives depend on it.

Can't wait to see Goldilocks today do his best football fantasy impression of Bend it like Beckham at Windsor Park in 2005. In a dynamic display the dynamo drops deep, demanding the ball off centre-halfs to then spray needless passes all over the gaff. Seemingly oblivious to his midfield duties, said dynamo dictates all play inside his own half, whilst posing absolutely no threat to the opposition. All well and good and easy on the eye but at length it makes for a long and drawn out miserable affair in which the visiting team lose 1v0.

Curzon are better away from home. I'm hoping that we can exploit this, but who knows what formation we will come up with today. Optimistically 1-0 to us.

A heads up for anyone getting the tram in Manchester today. Man City also at home at 3pm so expect the trams to be packed / longer wait to get on one as the Etihad is on the same line

Or 0-0.

Yes, a bit pathetic and attention seeking. Just drags the thread down, and fuels those who claim we have a toxic fan base. By all means make constructive criticism...we all have players and formations we don't like. Sticking Glendon in with Weeks and Murray was arguably throwing him under the bus.

Curzon 1-3 Chester Weeks, Glendon & Peers
A cracking win to end the slump, get us back to winning (& scoring) ways & silence the critics. In Cal we trust.

Looked like he got a knock late on in Buxton game. Either that ir got injured when Cal threw him under the bus on Tuesday in his post match interview 😂

These next three games are massive for Cal and the team - two fixtures in which we’ve got a decent record, but against opponents in great form, followed by a fixture in which we’ve often struggled, but against a side who haven’t pulled up many trees thus far. I’d say he needs to win at least two of them if he wants to silence all the noise about his future.
Can’t tell whether it’s a case of becoming more balanced as the memories of Tuesday have begun to fade, or whether it’s just hopeful delusion, but I’ve felt increasingly confident about this as the week has gone on - it’s exactly the sort of game you’d normally back us in. 2-1 win, Caton and Weeks.

I just get the feeling we might win this. Fancy a 2-0 win with Weeks and Caton scoring. Then hopefully we can have a bit less talk about Mahon being the next Pep Guardiola and start concentrating on ourselves.

If we struggle to score today I would be tempted to push Burke into midfield and get him running at them with his pace and power.

Give CM until Christmas to get into playoffs unless we fall too far behind . Don't think thats unreasonable.
Mid table wouldn't be acceptable

You knew at 2pm when the team was announced that it was a lost cause. Cal NEVER learns from his mistakes.
Should have accepted the approach and got the rest of his contract money instead of having to pay up when he goes.
