I assumed this was a joke thread.
Why do supporters always seem to want ex players or managers back? Usually it's people without the track record ir experience to get an equivalent job anywhere else.
In Burr's case he did a good job for us. However, he was always after more players and seemed to not understand the fans owned premises. I attended a meet the fans session with him, it was a bit eye opening.
Burr said
1- it was his job to keep on at the board for more players and budget. When challenged, he said fans owned was no different.
2- he didn't worry about the opposition. He ignored them.
3- at Kiddie he just kept changing the team until he got a win.
He actually came across as a self confident salesman type. He didn't make a particularly good impression on the people who attended. I think it was a squad builder type thing.
He has basically failed every else except at Kiddie, and maybe us for a short time.
One problem our board usually has is the lack of inside football logic. It could be easy to be taken in by the 'knowledgeable' manager.
