I know it was talked about at the end of last season and Cal indicated in pre season he would push him more forward when needed but should we try Harrison as a striker ? I personally think we should give him a go and he can't be any worse than what we have at the moment, I think he would trouble defenders create play and score goals. My only concern is he would be a big loss in our defensive setup, what do you think ?

Personally think it’s the sign of a desperate coach at a desperate time - reminds me of the LADS chucking Danny Livesey up front to chase an equaliser late in games. Imagine if they played him up front from the start of a game and left three strikers on the bench, we’d be rightly questioning it.
Rather not.
Not to mention the fact it could ruin a promising young players career at a crucial time in his development - was meant to be our next money-maker wasn’t he? Being shunted into different positions on the pitch won’t help with that.

Throw the big defender upfront. A tactic as old as time.
File alongside "give the kids a chance, they can't do any worse".

Doesn't tend to work as anything more than an emergency move. Winning headers as a defender (where its often just about heading the ball away and rising highest from a set piece) is a different skill to being a target man, holding up the ball, timing runs and freeing up space for others.

Think he tends to be more effective when picking up the ball and running at the defence rather than trying to create something with his back to goal 25 yards out. Probably more of an asset playing in midfield rather than as an out and out striker.

Can't see any benefit playing him up front. Crossing from open play was pretty poor on Saturday I thought.

A great young player with a superb attitude, who should have a decent career in front of him. I love his mazy runs from deep. Not sure sure he would appreciate being stuck up front though. We have 4 forwards in the squad if they can't do the job then maybe we need to ship one out and get a replacement. Turner doesn't seem to getting much of a look in for some reason.

There's no doubt he potentially do a job up front if needed . I remember Graham Abel doing it back in the Harry McNally days with some success. It wouldn't do any harm to give it ago surely

Could see him as the Opposite of Kenny Burns with Nottingham forest in the 70's. Striker/Defender Defender/Striker.

We need to play him in one position and stick to it no use for his confidence moving him around the pitch

We need to play him in one position and stick to it no use for his confidence moving him around the pitch Actually it's very common for young players to float around in different positions for a while, helps their reading of the game and helps them to become better all-round footballers. Gareth Bale was originally a left-back and Jamie Carragher was a midfielder.

We say hes young and he is, but as a footballer hes got 130 games under his belt now and hes done the going up front for 10 minutes or dropping into midfield for a bit here and there, but now its about nailing him to the position he is best suited for instead of treating him like hes still serving his apprenticeship.

Best suited as a CB/CDM.

I'd only want him up front if we had an injury crisis with our forwards.
