Needs a minimum 8 points from next 4 games anything less then it's time for me 8 is an unreasonable ask. 6 minimum is a fairer expectation - 7 would be decent & any more excellent. So 1 win 3 draws, or 2 wins min. 5 points keeps him in the job, but any less and it's thin ice. But the problem is we took 2 points from 4 games in October. If we're serious about making something of this season, we do need to start cancelling that out and get some points and wins at places where we're not expected to.

It’s the inconsistency that’s going to cost us in the long run, that plus the lack of goals from the. “Front” men,

That’s the problem this season I just can’t see where a winning run would come from we very rarely win back to back we’re quite fortunate that other then Williams we’ve not really had too many injuries compared to our usual crisis we’ve gone something like 35 games under cal without even scoring. Need to start pressing teams more and taking a risk. Our whole tactical approach going forward doesn’t make sense we pretty much look to break stand still and let them get back in position. Not good enough for a club that’s meant to be pushing for promotion but I suppose that’s where we are

I dont think its about where he's from per se, more obviously what he did with the youth team and his links to the club through that. You wouldnt hire Runcorn's manager just because he came from Chester.
That quite understandably gives him more leeway than most, such is obvious. Everyone wanted this to succeed. Genuinely, why wouldnt they.

There's no way that if he had zero playing career and was a youth coach at say Borehamwood and then managed a team in the southern leagues to the play offs and was given the Chester job when he was, that he'd still be in a job currently. It's either emotional ties from the board or they don't want to admit their error and admit we've lost three seasons and a ton of money. No way he'd still be in a job??? I would hazard a guess that Cal's remit for the season was to make the play-offs. We can all argue about how poor the results have been, and how tedious a lot of the performances have been, but we are currently 3 places and 2 points off the Play-Offs, with a game or two in hand on a few of the teams above us. I've no feelings on Cal either way, but IF play-offs was the target set by the board, then despite what fees like a miserable season, we are still not too far off. I think the next month or so is going to make or break our season, but rightly or wrongly, Cal is going to be the manager to lead us through it. Come January, things will be a lot clearer, with us either sitting in a much healthier position, or still not so far adrift that a change in management can't see us make a late play-off push. Same remit as last year and the year before then hey👍🏽 and we are still here speaking about the same stuff. The lad should never have got the job in the first place. But now we seem to be stuck with him. It’s just annoying that he can’t even do his interviews correctly, so imagine what he says in the changing rooms to these players. He is inexperienced and not ready or even cut out for this job. I get the board have been loyal up to now, but come on. His friends are posting on here to keep him in a job when the real fans know that it needs to happen. No manager lasts after all this, just end it now before we get another Beans on Toast interview after we win on Saturday, where he will also say he watched Ted Lasso and used his tactics and team talks. Then the week after he can apologise yet again about him saying the wrong thing, and that he always comes out and faces the press!!! Too right he does, he loves the sound of his own voice and the egotistical comments. It’s never going to work for the lad. The board put him in this situation it’s there job to save him from it getting any worse.

You sound like a right weirdo.

This style of play is demoralising and will cost the club tens of thousands of pounds. Here’s hoping we get the changes we need, starting tomorrow

I know you can't believe that people think a different way to you but you should probably start to come to terms with it.
