When are we likely to get the result of the appeal? As the ban starts next Saturday I would think it would be late on this week

No point, doubt it’ll be overturned. Not like it was some massive error on the referees part.

Yeah, you'd think the same "clear and obvious error" mantra as with VAR applies, although we see how inconsistently VAR applies that. Also I'm sure I remember us successfully getting a ban overturned a season or two ago, which seemed surprising at the time. You could argue there's nothing to lose by appealing, unless some "frivolous appeal" rule applies. I remember a Premier League club being hit by that years ago and the player's ban being extended, think it was Middlesbrough? Also, B&J said when they were here that they try and appeal sparingly otherwise you can end up with a reputation for it, and don't get taken seriously when you've got a point.
