If money were no object, theres still not a great deal of land available around Chester for a football stadium, especially now with Aldi/Waitrose in Boughton. I can't think where you'd put a new ground tbh. Perhaps on the fields behind the police station? after all, in walking distance from Bache Imagine the chants we'll get if it is built by a police station 😂.

There is nowhere really within the City Centre boundary where you could build a new ground. and certainly not one with enough space for sufficient parking. The only places where (if money were no object) you could get planning permission to build would be even further out of town than we already are! Could you imagine the uproar from local residents if (By some miracle) we put plans in place to build a ground on a piece of land within the City Centre? Would hardly be befitting of a Community Club if we pissed off half the community building a ground on peoples doorsteps!! Â Â I always feel the land by toys r us would be a good venue , with the pubs nearby and walking distance from town , also maybe a tie-in with the rugby club on their land. At least it will be next door to our old home.

I've recently had the vision of a beautiful modern stadium in Chester Meadows. Just imagine it, the river Dee flowing around the stadium with the beautiful buildings arching round on the other side. Would be amazing.

Yep, obviously not a realistic place for a stadium just sharing the visual ideas I've had in my head!

I've always thought that when the third bridge goes over the river (and one day it will!), the land the Deva Stadium is on will rocket in value. At that time, someone may well offer to build us a new ground just to get us off the site. Let's hope when that day comes the Council don't sell us down the river and fight to get us a decent ground.

Remember Steve the old groundsman said something about local land being kept aside for future possibility of building work.I think it came up while negotiating the lease..not for a new ground but the option of the much talked of third crossing.

I was on about the fact Brunton Park is built right by a river, and last Christmas it got flooded, so ideally I wouldn't want a stadium built right by a floodplain.

I remember as a kid going to Gay Meadow and from the stand you could see the oak trees hanging over the River Severn as well as the Abbey amongst other historic buildings, which was a good view. Unfortunately that was in stark contrast to the view inside the ground with Ben Davies scoring against us and Vaughan Snr running down the tunnel and headbutting one of their players.
