Incredibly disappointing to see some of our fans are giving Kane and Alabi all sorts of abuse on twitter tonight. Both the lads did a lot of work for the community side of the club, which I think most fans realise. Personally wish them well for the future and have no hard feelings with either.

I've all but given up on Twitter. It's just horrible and the world is a worse place for its existence.

Amongst Richard’s tweets tonight are some good ones, replying to fans wishing him well and you can see he’s genuinely enjoyed representing the club and engaging with supporters by his responses to them. However, the responses to literally two or three fans giving him stick are an example of why I think the management probably just grew a bit too tired of him to keep that new contract offer on the table. Easily wound up and ultimately lacking a bit of professionalism, you need to rise above that sort of stuff and at the moment at least he seems incapable of it. To be honest, his tweet in the first instance which kicked it all off (which he’s conveniently since deleted) was the definition in the dictionary of immature.
Yes some of the tweets directed at him in retaliation are daft and silly, but to be honest If ever I wondered if we made the right decision regarding him, tonight provided a clear answer.

It's an embarrassment. Can't defend certain supporters at all. We all know Richards wasn't great last term but it's gone now and the daily trolling of him and now seemingly Alabi is cringe worthy. And these people are fully grown men.

Agree with Anders post, Richards tweeting Alabi congratulating him on his move when nothing official of Alabi signing for Tranmere yet was to provoke a reaction from Chester fans, glad we got rid.

Take it you have a twitter account and if so why didn't you tell em on twitter yourself instead of coming on here?

I'm not sure why people are getting rattled by Kane Richards' tweets. I just rejoice in the fact that I will never have to watch him scream and strank and play football badly in a CFC shirt again. He is now consigned to the Chester memory box which contains Rapley, Finney and Hobson amongst others.
We've now got some real quality up front and that's all that matters.

I think he was wishing his mate well, but if he was fishing for a bite then he caught the numpties. Just leave it be, what is the point of having a slanging match over nothing, there are far more important things in most people's lives.

Agree 100% I have never, and never will, subscribe to Twitbook given what little I've seen of the so-called conversations but, hey, each to his or her own. With regards to KR's tweets, which I haven't bothered to look at, frankly, I couldn't care less and I suspect most other DCers would feel the same

The same Kane Richards who couldn't turn up for the coach for an away game. Good riddance. Awful striker.

He and Alabi are big mates so why not drop your friend a text or a call wishing him well away from the public eye, why publically post something for the wider audience to scrutinise? Once again proves how juvenile he is.

Twitter is the worst place on the internet, people who take it seriously need to wake up.
As for Richards leaving not to fussed. I think Alabi will be missed but hopefully the new strikers we have in can work well together.

I've never used social media and I've never wanted to either, but t'internet as a whole seems to bring out the worst in some people with very nasty abusive comments (just a look at the comments sections of online rags like the Mail and Express always makes me wonder if I inhabit the same planet, let alone country, as some of the very angry and abusive people who seem to reside there). And while every club has its knuckle draggers, there is no excuse to abuse current or ex-players for the sake of it.

The same Kane Richards who couldn't turn up for the coach for an away game. Good riddance. Awful striker. That happened 3 times iirc. At Lincoln he sat just behind us and was more interested in his phone than watching his colleagues. After the game he responded unrepentently to a few Chester fans who gave him stick for missing the bus.

Clearly illustrated by the bile and abuse Gary Neville received from Tranmere fans yesterday. However, I'm sure it's water off a duck's back to the Multi-millionaire Champs League winner and now successful businessman as BTEC graduate Kevin from Rock Ferry throws abuse from his mobile phone.
