Scored one and 3 assists for Salford tonight.
Still contracted to Tranmere for another year but a potential loan deal to be done maybe if not a permanent deal.
Would be a great addition IMHO

Yes I like him. Could be part of the Alabi deal to allow him to come here on loan.

There's no Alabi deal. He was a free agent.

There's no Alabi deal. He was a free agent. Nope sorry but you're incorrect. They'll be a deal as he was offered a contract and under the age of 23. We've already turned down a proposal from Tranmere and we want £10k+

I tend to side with Sychden Blue on the basis that "deal" normally involves some significant form of controlling input and decision making. Not much control option by Chester, certainly not when a tribunal steps in. There is the potential to have some minimal input before it reaches a tribunal, so dmcnally could mean this aspect, although it is wrong to say SB is incorrect. He was certainly a free agent. Either way, I'm sure there is less than £5K between us. Safe to say we can spend £10K now.

In any negotiated deal the vendor retains the right to pull out of the transaction and retain the goods. As Alabi was a free agent then Chester did not have that option, hence they did not really have what would be commonly accepted as dealing rights. If, as looks likely, it goes to a tribunal Chester have no input or dealing rights whatsoever. Alabi is a Tranmere player and nothing Chester do can change that.

James Akintunde has the potential to be a better centre forward than Alabi. His style is similar, pressing the last man, quick and direct, but to me his is more mobile and has better spring. Whether he can gain enough minutes for his finishing to be polished remains to be seen, and it is very early days, but I'd be looking at him and Hannah as my starting pair. Akintunde is the player Kane Richards thinks he is.

I don't know why you are going down such a complex path. Are you trying to prove something? Hughes was a free agent, he just went to Leicester for £130,000 and lots of add ons. That's a deal. James was a free agent and we received just under £10k from Halifax for him. That's a deal. And we will get a deal from the Alabi move. And we will get say as in a tribunal we can give im all supporting evidence to suggest a higher fee.

Pointless argument - there's only one Dawson we'll be signing with any Alabi money, Lucas.

Adam Dawson is a very good winger when he's fit and focussed. But that's getting ever rarer an occurrence.
He scored 1 and assisted 3 yet apparently went off with a knock in the 2nd half.
I'd rather we spent our money signing a backup keeper and another centre back (Theo Vassell)

Perhaps it's common for you to misuse the word deal when you really mean fee or payment.

The James fee was actually through a tribunal months later. All I'm saying is it's very unlikely we will receive a player from Tranmere for Alabi, and in fact any "deal" appears to be off the table as we rejected an offer of compensation so it looks highly likely to go to a tribunal.

In what universe is a group of independent people deciding the outcome of a transfer between two clubs considered a "deal" between those two clubs? It quite categorically isn't a deal.

A deal is an agreement brokered between 2 clubs a tribunal is an arbitory body to decide the compensation to be paid by one club to another when a deal cannot be agreed therefore there is no deal between us and them just a compensation claim by CFC thats my thoughts on this subject anyway

SB is quite right with what he's said. Not sure how Danny has misinterpreted when a deal isn't a deal.
Tranmere offered us a deal for Alabi, which we refused. Therefore no deal has been agreed between 2 clubs.
as others have stated - we will look to be awarded as much compensation as possible for Alabi, but again this is NOT a deal between the 2 clubs. It's an instruction from a third party tribunal to decide how much compensation is awarded to us following his move.

I thought SB meant no deal as in we are getting nothing for Alabi (like Heneghan).
