Maybe mods could pin this? A brave Chester FC fan with a rare and aggressive form of cancer has organised a fundraising event to give something back to the charities which have helped him so much. Football-mad Cameron Rowley, 10, was diagnosed with a desmoplastic small round cell tumour in 2015 but, sadly, efforts by doctors to completely rid the youngster of the disease have failed. The 10-year-old is now on his 12th round of chemotherapy, with the treatment aimed purely at prolonging and improving the quality of his life as much as possible. www.chesterstandard.co.uk/news/178134/brave-chester-fc-fan-with-rare-and-aggressive-form-of-cancer-sets-up-charity-day-fundraiser.aspx

I know him quite well as he is a ball boy. He's a lovely lad with a very inspiring story.

Hope the club do something for this fundraiser. The club should make this brave young man the official club mascot for the season. From reading about his love for the club it would be a great gesture from Chester Football Club to him and his family. No-one could begrudge him this honour at all.

I'm gutted he couldn't turn up today so I could ask how is doing. I wish him well and I hope he can come next Saturday.
