Just been reading about the latest UEFA initiative by bringing in an international league tournament to be played during international breaks apparently to reduce the number of friendlies played. Surely this just means our poor premiersh*te players will have to play even more matches than they do now. This cannot be right surely the poor things will be ever so tired and maybe clubs will be calling for a reduction in the number of teams in the premiersh*te to keep the number of games played down. What are your thoughts on this

I read it as a way to make what are now meaningless friendlies more competitive, so there wouldn't be any more games than there already is.
It's UEFA, it's FIFA, apparently a World Cup every four years and the Euros every four years isn't enough. There needs to be more competitions to sell to the sponsors.
