I'd go for this:
Lynch
Halls Mccombe Astles Rowe-Turner
Mahon James Turnbull Davis
White Bell

Akintunde for Bell and we're in agreement.

Finding the right pairing up front might take a few games. Hopefully whoever Macca starts with gets off to a flyer and makes it tough for someone else to get a chance

I agree but I would prefer Akintunde over Bell, and maybe put Bell on in the last 15-20 mins.

Lynch
Halls Mccombe Astles Rowe-Turner
Waters James Turnbull Mahon
White Akintunde
Akintunde and Bell very close. Would say Hannah if fit but haven't seen him yet.

He's still out but I think it would be a risk to start him next week. He could be fit enough to play a part in the second half, though.

Would like to see Dawson given a run. Suspect Chappel will start ahead of Mahon

This but with Davies instead of Waters for me. Have to say if Chappel starts ahead of Mahon I'll be a bit disappointed. Never liked Chappel much apart from his work rate. Liked him even less after I went for a Job interview in Sheffield wen I moved from Chester, somehow the into football and told the bloke I was a Chester fan, he asked if I know Chappel and I said yeah he's alright for the bench, he went on to tell me Chappel was his best man at his wedding, didn't get the job..

Good story that. He has been pretty woeful so far though, that performance against Walsall.. Can Davies play RM though? Not sure he has the pace for a winger but could be proved wrong.

Perhaps in a different way. He's certainly got a nice strike on him and i expect he can deliver a ball, when it comes to beating a man he may not have natural winger instincts. He's been good pre-season though, looks like her's out to prove himself. Would be hard to start Hannah given he's hardly featured pre-season, think he may need fitness so give him the last 20 if needed.

After watching us last week and again today, I think Bell and Dawson both have to start next week. Bell was excellent today, strong, good in the air, great first touch and another superb finish for the goal. I'd be starting with him and White, if fit, as he will be hungry against his former side. Dawson is a by far a better player than Davis and should definitely be starting for me. His vision is good and he is possibly our best passer of the ball in midfield. Looking forward to the season starting, can't wait to get going next week.

Totally agree with the above post, bell and Dawson both deserve to start. They were excellent today as we're everyone else. Roll on next week

I think you have to consider Davies is a young lad that will improve with game time. Also it's pre season, players who have looked fantastic in preseason in the pasts have been some of our worst lads. For what it's worth I think Dawson should start, but I wouldn't knock Davies trying to make my point.

I wasn't knocking Davies. Based on what I've seen from both players last season and so far this, my opinion is that Dawson is a far better player.

Dawson impressive in all the games I seen, whereas Davies looked as quick as a clapped out corsa going up gorse hill. In the home game against Woking he had circles ran round him and was skinned multiple times but did score an impressive header. In preseason games he's looked useful but I think his lack of pace will seriously hold him back.

Totally agree with the post above. Dawson, who at 23 is still a young lad himself, gives us real movement and an eye for a pass in the midfield. I was seriously impressed with the 4 starting midfielders Saturday. They pressed PV well, won possession and gave Bell and Akintunde lots of ball. I'd probably go with Saturdays starting XI, but replace Akintunde with Hannah if fit. Akintunde to me would be better used as an impact player against more tired legs. Only other problem is in goal. Lad Saturday was a great shape, and very vocal, but inexperienced. Lynch still doesn't look 100% fit to me, but is quality, and his experience will help.
Looking forward to Saturday, not too far, big city stop on the way and hopefully a chance to put a marker down. COYB!

I think he should start Satruday, and i'd probably keep Akintunde personally given Hannah has hardly featured yet.

Can't see Bell and Akintunde both starting up top on Saturday. Id go with White and Bell and bring Akintunde on last 20 with his pace. The midfield on Saturday looked strong so I'd go with the same 4 across the middle

The midfield on Saturday looked strong so I'd go with the same 4 across the middle I thought those two lads looked really sharp up top. I do agree though, I imagine we may go for a bit more experience with just one of those two. What it comes down to is if the other two are fit, and if JM wants to risk them this early on if they both had knocks a few days ago. I'm under the belief we have 4 good strikers this season that will take their chances. If Bell/Aki did start Saturday and grab a few goals between them or we win comfortably (wishful thinking) they have a chance to make themselves the main two strikers for Fylde at home no doubt about it.

Haven't had chance to see any games pre season. Good to hear that it sounds like we've got a bit of a selection dilemma. Long may it continue
