What is your favourite half time pie (or any other half-time hot savoury snack) at the Deva? Are there any other delicacies you would like the club to take on?
My choice has to be a peppered steak pie, throwing in a lovely meaty cup of Bovril and a Snickers for the meal deal. I would like to see chips and gravy added to the menu.
Anybody else?

Would love to see chips and gravy added.
Cheese and onion pie man myself, tea and kit kat for the deal.
Tried a bovril for the first time a few weeks back. Obviously I'm not made of sterner stuff as I found it the worst tasting thing imaginable.

The 'Chester Pie' is the one for me. Always sold out before half time though which is frustrating!

Yeah the chicken and ham pie is really nice, one of the best I've had at footy grounds. Usually very generous with the filling.

The only problem with the £2.50 Chester pie is the meal deal isn't a deal if you select that pie - works out the exact same price as buying everything separately. You save 50p with an alternative pie as they are £3. I'm all about value for money which is why I get a peppered steak meal deal, though my wife would argue looking at my growing belly not to get anything at all!

Wasn't there a huge thread on the old DC about those pies with no sides?!

Personally I'd quite like something along the lines of a polystyrene tray filled with mince and a badly fitting puff pastry lid dropped on the top , now I think those would be a big seller 😋

The Peppered Steak is a decent pie, along with the Balti as a back up, a Marathon bar, and I bring in my own coke bottle lid because I'm a naughty bastard.

Anyone adult found feeding one of their children a hot dog from the Deva should be reported to the relevant Authorities immediately.

I think the catering we had the first season was the best, great sausage rolls. Also miss the burger van which used to be on the car park, the bacon baps were awesome. What we have now is meh at best.

There was a Fish and Chip van one season as well. Really nice, big portion for £5. What happened to that?

Aye, loved the bacon baps from the car park burger van in the first season.
There was a strange occurrence during the second half of the Southport home game earlier this season whereby a bloke asked anybody in A block of the main stand if they wanted a bag of chips before proceeding to hurl numerous small bags of slightly soggy chips up the rows. Not bad for free but shame it isn't a regular thing.

Those pies with no sides were nice........
In all seriousness, the peppered steak pies are good, but I can't seem to wait until HT to get one. Soon as I enter the ground I'll head to the refreshments kiosk and purchase said pie with a coffee and a Twix. I do miss the old burger bar that was in the corner between the Harry Mac and the East Stand. The old fish and chip van was bloody nice too.

I've attended every home game since purchasing a season ticket, whilst away games would be irrelevant to the argument. I don't get your point?

The Chester Pie would be right up there. The ones at Alty are probably the best away pies I've had.
Yes, I remember those 'pies in a tray' we had in one of our first seasons back. The thing was, they tasted OK, but were wholly impractical for standing on a terrace. Felt like a young kid going home with gravy down my front!
