Got tickets in the Virgin sale which only cost us £7 return so was going to still go to Brum and watch Villa and Hull but decided instead to go to Manchester for a few scoops and do the Salford v Darlo match and then some more scoops on the way back. Not the same granted but it gets me out the house.

Sorting the garden out most likely. To be honest I was only going because it was the first game of the season - would never have gone otherwise - and booked a seat on the Hipkiss so fortunately not out of pocket.

I'll go out with my family somewhere and probably end up edging the lawn later on 🙂 then watch the final score in the afternoon.

Mr Tees is at Whitby Sports & Social. Get on it I had one a few weeks ago and it was delicious, also me and my sister asked them to go to the stadium for 'Workplace Wednesday' to give some ice cream to our hardworking staff and volunteers.

I reckon there'll be a few Chester sat up there with Macc fans in the far corner of the Yale Stand tomorrow. They'll be sweating more than Stevie Wonders' driving instructor

Likewise, I stood on the Kop with Mansfield fans at Sealand Road in the Freight Rover /Sherpa etc Cup. I recognised quite a few other Reds there. That Darlington relegation game at The Deva was attended by quite a few Reds.

YouTube video's are cringe.

Given the juvenile nature of your posts, I find it incredible that you apparently attended the freight Rover Northern Final in 1987. By the way do know who Chester knocked out in the previous round ?
I wouldn't attend any matches at the decaying goatcourse unless the Blues playing . Although it may have been amusing today, with all your pre -season big talk. Oh well, 11 long years !

I've been in Huddersfield visiting the in-laws so nipped to the Shay to check out the new look Halifax host Aldershot. The first half was slow to get going with Aldershot slightly edging it. Aldershot came to life in the second half (with a bit of help from the ref - one of their plates was lucky not to get a straight red for a tackle from behind) and always looked the more likely to score. I know it's only the first game but I think they'll have a decent season.
Halifax no 7 (Matt Kosylo) looked a handful and they have a massive forward (Denton) who wins most things in the air but there isn't much else to say about them. They had a couple of chances to score but overall there was no noticable quality up front. They defended well at times but a mistake at the back led to the Aldershot opener and I didn't see the incident for the penalty.
