As I had a free saturday I went to watch this game as a neutral. Macc deserved the win. Wrexham were bloody terrible. On that performance they will be lucky to survive in the conference premier.

As much as I don't like Wrexham as a club, I have no issue with their fans, bar a few idiots that we have too. I'd say it's extremely unlikely they'll be near the bottom. It's one match with a whole new side. God help this forum is we lose on Tuesday, we will be relegation certainties!

I'd say looking at Chester and Wrexham on paper then the squads are enough to have us both around mid table. The potential is there to do better, but it depends on two managers in Keates and McCarthy who have a lot of question marks about their managerial ability. Of course other things come into it like team spirit, luck with injuries and suspensions etc, but both teams have notably more experience and know how in the ranks this season.
