its all gone quiet on the transfer fee saga for J.A. looks like its going to be a tribunal case lets hope it doesnt take as long as the kingsley james one did cant understand why these things takes ages to arrange as if a club appeals a sending off etc or more recently the solihull issue things will be sorted in no time but these tribunals take so long. we could do with the money before transfer window closes but cant see that happening the rich fat cats in the premier league can afford to wait a while for any tribunal money but at our level not so just another case of the "little " clubs being treated with dis respect by the powers that be

I don't think we have a transfer window until March but still it's going to take a while. No matter what Tranmere will be paying us, it will be around 15K, its whether we can get a sell on clause.

I bumped into a few people I know on Thursday who just happen to be Tranmere fans. They were livid with me because they signed Alabi and they've already decided he's a fake, he cannot jump. I was absolutely doubled up with laughter. Didn't they scout him before they began to covet him. From what I've seen so far Akintunde, if he can keep fit, will develop in a much better player.

Obviously just looked at his goals scored record last season. We'll have the 20k they owe us and leave them to it!

Was going to mention this, it's taken 2 games for Tranmere fans to get on his back. Like I said the Chester fans seemed more patient with him which gave him the chance to get his form, I follow a lot of stuff on twitter and he's already getting abuse thrown at him. hope he kicks on coz he's a really nice guy.

Sometimes a player finds his niche at a particular club but flops elsewhere and I suspect he is one of those. Although only 22 he has played for 10 diffetent clubs but it was only here that he showed anything.

Akintunde is a much better player. Decent movement, pace and a very good finisher.

With Hannah and White now likely to be out for weeks, we should ask Tranmere to send Alabi back on loan instead of paying us the compensation.

We have had a tendency to bring players into the football club who have questionable injury records. Being fan owned and a limited budget we shouldn't and can't afford to take those kind of risks and chances. Killock, George, White to name but 3. In my opinion we shouldn't sign anyone who hasn't played 30 plus league games the season before. We need to get value out of the players we bring into the football club, no good them being on the treatment table half the season. Down to the board to vett recruits the manager wants to bring into the football club and not be afraid to say no if they haven't played the vast part of the previous season.

The Tranmere move was always going to be wrong one. The club has an abundance of strikers and if he had one bad game he was going to be dropped. Not good for a confidence player like James. Also the Tranmere fans have high expectations this year and are likely to behypercritical more than ever. With hindsight I'm sure Alabi feels he should have signed on at Chester for another year knowing the respect the fans had for him.
There will be no schandenfraude from me as Alabi was a class act on and off the field. I hope he finds his feet and rams the criticism he is currently receiving back down the Tranmere fans' throat.
