Totally agree with the statement from the Police regarding the non tolerance of this sort of behavior and good luck to them in arresting anyone else involved, further good luck to them to get the CPS and courts to do anything about it though.
The thing that gets my goat though is our club name gets dragged into the headlines once again through the actions of another clubs idiots, anyone reading that who has never been to a game but have a son or daughter at an age where they are interested in football might think twice.
Also, why is it football that gets the stigma over these sort of people, I would bet my house that there were more than three arrests made during the Chester May meeting for drunkenness, affray, fighting etc, yet we never get to see our precious racecourse name up in lights in the Chronicle etc.

I've been in town with my 2 year old with people drinking bottles in town, smashing them to the floor, using the roads as a toilet yet nothing comes of it? oh if only it was a Chester - Wrexham match. our arses would be handed to us

Interesting that the raids are just a few weeks after the bubble has been lifted hopefully sending a message to all who want to cause trouble at the Wrexham match to be aware.

Which sort of proves my point, why mention Chester FC in any headlines.

Strange why they have to mention football for arrests that happened in town hours after the match had finished.. the altercations could have been totally no football related, just someone / people having too much ale on a night out.

They were Tranmere fans who watched the game in Chester before making there way further into town. Had the personal pleasure of watching the match in the same Chester pub as them earlier in the evening. Must have been a couple of dozen of them, most of them were fine but there certainly was a few knobs thrown in for good measure who had a couple of shandies.

I understand about the name of the club being dragged into this but let's be honest the ones arrested are all from the Birkenhead area we are playing Tranmere so it's going to go hand in hand and no doubt when we find out the arrested lads names they will all of been known to Tranmere fans who associate in there social Circle. Let's just hope it makes other think about doing it before the Wrexham game and the consequences if they do.

Only 10 miles from the Deva Stadium but 9 miles from Prenton Park.

My fear is the knobheads on both sides will be out in force to cause trouble somewhere in the City and probably wont even go to the game

My fear is the knobheads on both sides will be out in force to cause trouble somewhere in the City and probably wont even go to the game I think this is sadly true. Especially for away fans. The Goats have 2000+ season ticket holders but we'll only give them 1200-1500. So the people at the game will be real fans, not the once a season thugs. Unfortunately I can see these people heading into Chester for a drink and fight. And it would be the same if Chester were the away team as well.
