One thing you can always count on is that however crazy things get over here, our friends on the other side of the Atlantic will always be making an even bigger and better spectacle of themselves.
Seriously, white supremacist marches? What era do they think they're living in? And then, when a load of people get mowed down in a car for having the gall to protest peacefully against racism, the president is oddly evasive and wishy-washy in his response. I have a feeling he might have been a bit more direct had it been Islamists or Mexicans orchestrating it all.
In a country as rich and powerful as that, why is there such widespread ignorance?
I still think the worst thing about Trump, Brexit etc is that it's made the real bigots on the fringes of society feel validated. I don't see how anything that makes certain groups of people feel threatened in their home country can be anything but highly regressive.

When you have a nation made up of the unwanted people from Europe, what do you expect. America is like the ginger step kid, lets face it, no one likes it and the world would be better off without it.
