Just a little suggestion to Mr McCarthy, how about signing a left footed winger. Mahon is right footed and would be much better on the right side. Try it McCarthy it might just save you some heartbreak.

Try it McCarthy it might just save you some heartbreak. He's said he hasn't any budget left and he's happy with what he's got. We are crying out for pace out wide to create some width, although this doesn't fit with the style of play McCarthy wishes to encourage anyway. You would like to think any Alabi money could be spent on strengthening certain areas, although I would imagine a priority would be defensive cover. |

I don't get why we don't start with Chappell and Mahon on the wings. People criticise him, but Chappell is useful at this level, and always seems to make a positive difference when he comes on.
Dawson has the potential to be a decent playmaker, but he definitely can't play wide. He reminds me a bit too much of Durrell and Rooney... genius in parts but mostly inconsistent. Dawson just seems to automatically play a long pass before he's even thought about what he's going to do
