Missed today because travelling back from South Wales but from the sounds of it glad I missed it - had to laugh at Macca urging Blacon residents to turn up for young Crawford - I bet they were pleased as punch witnessing a 1 minute cameo - we are a mess playing truly ugly football - he can spin it whichever way but our points gleaned at Hartlepool and Aldershot could easily have been heavy defeats as the woodwork was our best defender - This cannot carry on Home form is critical and I don't expect to win them all just witness the odd one now and again with attacking intentions - Sadly Mccarthy is so inept we may have to go a calendar year before we witness such an event

I actually thought it was piss poor from McCarthy to throw him on when he did. Always great to see a local boy break though but JM clearly threw him in to a desperate situation to alleviate pressure on himself, rather than for Tom's benefit.

I thought that myself, it was almost as he knew he could use it as a positive note in his postmatch analysis. If he signed these players to be part of the first team, then I think it's piss poor that Crawford didn't get on much earlier today to show what he can do.

Wasn't there today (thank God), but that is a disgrace throwing a young lad on in those circumstances.

Didn't hear a peep from a Chester player all game until Crawford came on, raring to go and vocal. Hope he gets a proper shot next time

Macca was definitely in damage limitation mode. No player should come on for three minutes unless it's for an injury. Give the lad a proper go, although my head tells me we need seasoned pros if we're to stay up.

You bring a young lad on when you winning with 15-20 to go, or if we are losing get him on early to make an impression.
Seemed an odd and desperate way of trying to keep fans on board, throwing a local lad on in a game which was long gone after another awful performance. Pathetic.

Token gesture after his previous interview asking for Blacon to turn out to back one of their own.

Deflective technique so he has something positive to talk about in the post match.

Totally pointless bringing the lad on in those circumstances.
