Apparently that was our 14th home game without a win? Own up who's seen them all. I've been to 12 and last time I saw Chester win was against Southport.
Disgraceful form but it's the Chronicle's and Shunter Blue's fault!!

Ha love that last line. I've had a season ticket for both last season and this and I've forced my three-year old son through every Saturday home game since October 2016. He's seen us win once in his life... ever.

Disgraceful form but it's the Chronicle's and Shunter Blue's fault!! I first watched us in 2010 when we beat Skelmersdale 4-0 and have been to most home games. However, I got my first season ticket for the 2015/16 season and have attended every single home game since along with going to the majority of aways. It's very depressing for people like me who has seen all 14 dire performances at home continuing from December last year. I last watched Chester win a game away at Southport.........half a year ago.

Disgraceful form but it's the Chronicle's and Shunter Blue's fault!! I have done 12 of those games as well. Last time I saw us win was Southport away on February 25th. Maybe I should book on the coach to Torquay on Saturday, just in case!

Ah but don't forget Aldershot hadn't been beaten in 14 games at home before Saturday. You throw me your 14, and I give you that back.

He sounded like some kind of desperate poker player who had lost a fortune and wanted to continue playing, throwing his car and house into the pot. Joke. Been to all 14 bar the Sutton game, regardless of results how many games have we actually enjoyed or we have played well in? I would say Tranmere was a cracking game and the lads put it in but we were under the cosh for a good hour, Wrexhsm was a decent shift and a game we could have won or lost. The rest has been dross.

13 for me, I've only missed Macc home game from last season so have not seen us win (or even come close to winning for that matter) since 17th December!
I would imagine that some poor fans will have attended the Trophy defeat against FGR, Cheshire Cup defeat against Hyde and the two pre-season games against Walsall and Port Vale, so will have not seen a win in 18 home games.
Anyone know what the club and league record is for longest winless home run?

Will the club be organising an anniversary celebration to mark the occasion in December when we reach the landmark 12 months without a home win?

Anyone know what the club and league record is for longest winless home run? Our longest run without a home win depends how technical you want to be about what happened in 2009/10. We went 14 games without a home win between December 2008 and September 2009, but as our 2009/10 results were expunged, you could argue the last two games don't count and the run ended at 12. Statto.com was always a good resource for this kind of thing, but it seems to have disappeared. I've dug up an archived page using the Wayback Machine that shows our longest winless home runs to be 12 in 1961/62 and 12 in 2009, so it's obviously not counting the 2009/10 season. So this is at least equal to our worst ever home run, and has arguably already passed it. If McCarthy is still here a week on Saturday when Ebbsfleet visit, you'd have to assume it will tick on to 15, especially since they haven't been beaten home or away in their last 33 games.

I'm a season ticket holder, but I think I gave myself a day off once so I've only seen 13 of them. If JM is still here winless at home after the Ebbsfleet match (which is pretty much a nap) I think I'll go and watch Ben Mills at Whitchurch Alport until our spineless board take some action.

The last time I witnessed a victory was the win on the final day of the 2015/16 season when we beat Welling United.
Since then all I've seen are draws or defeats.
Only performance I've seen that really got me going was Tranmere away. Rest of them were dire.

Back to back wins in the league go back further than the Aldershot game . . . 26th and 29th November . . . Eastleigh away and Guiseley at home.

In terms of the passage of time rather than the number of matches we went a bit longer than the current streak (so far) when we went nine months and two days without a home win between April 1981 and January 1982, although I make it we only played 10 home league games in that time. It was obviously longer from October 2009 to September 2010 but that doesn't really count in my view given CCFC folded in that period.

Was 1981 the year there was no football at all for a couple of months because of heavy snow? Again, since the 2009/10 results were expunged, you could actually argue we officially went from December 2008 to September 2010 without a home win. Who could have imagined as they were making their way home from the 2-0 win against Accrington Stanley on Boxing Day 2008 that they'd just seen what would go down as CCFC's last ever home win?
