McCombe is clearly carrying an injury, so why isn't James Jones called into the first team squad? Another case of McCarthy frightened to take a chance? My weekends watching
our little football club are spoiled by one of the most clueless managers we have ever had.

The team is struggling, wrong time to be blooding youngsters. Can't imagine it'd do him much good getting booed off the pitch at FT.

I agree, but then again, when is the right time? We envisage this time when when the pressure's off and youngsters can effortlessly be slotted in and out of the team, but such a time never really comes and if we do hit a patch of good form, you then don't want to upset it by dropping senior players and putting kids in. Maybe we just need to give them a go and see how they cope? The last youngster we threw in at the deep end has just moved to a Premier League club for a six-figure fee.
