(Originally posted on the quiet devachat site) I'm a Torquay supporter who won't be attending on Saturday. In short, we are owned by a notorious asset stripper in the name of Clark Osborne who has promised success on and off the field. However, Gaming International are only interested in one thing, the freehold for Plainmoor. False promises after false promises, I think last weekend has become the lowest point in our 118 year history. No 'five-year plan, local board of directors (we don't have a board), manager, vital recruitment and our owners couldn't care less that they don't even attend our matches. I along with a number of other supporters believe that whatever happens on the pitch this season there is only one way TUFC will end up in the near future, non-existent. There is talk on our forum of a phoenix club, boycotting and barring a couple of posters this seems to be the overall mindset of our fed-up supporters. The one thing we CANNOT let happen is let the council sell the freehold to G.I and the only way we can protect Plainmoor is to drive them out. There's a lot more to it than what I have briefly mentioned and it's all been downhill in the last 5 years. torquayfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9586I know Chester's current form isn't fantastic, however fans like myself admire how well the people of Chester prepared to start again. Any advice for this sort of process would be great on the forum link above. Good luck for the rest of the season!

I really do Sympathise with you and the other fans of TUFC, another Club get shitted on by the people upstairs. As our previous owner mentioned on National TV "We are Just are bunch of idiots, hell bent on destroying this Football Club, if you meet in bingo halls, do you need taken seriously?" well we were and it worked! and despite our poor form on the pitch at the moment, are in a far more better position than we ever were under the end of the Vaughan era.
I'm sure there are plenty of Blues fans here who can give you advice and I hope TUFC do turn it around on and off the pitch.

Always look forward to this game because I live Devon and there's a few of us going as always. Got lots of friends who are torquay fans, really feel for them. Have the banned city fans that protested against Vaughan been allowed back? Heroes, good luck torquay

Happy to offer any advice I can. Msg me on here.
Good luck with it, and dont give up. It really is worth it in the end.
Even when you do have issues like we are now, its good to know we are in charge of our own destiny.

We were asset stripped back in 1990 by a company called Morrison Shand who promised us the earth, but delivered a subuteo stadium which is very basic and offers little in the way of amenities.
A phoenix club is your best bet and I'm sure that people like NWAS will give you all the help you need as it was given to us by other phoenix clubs.
