Really don't understand what all the fuss is about Bignot, he did ok with Solihull but Neil Young achieved more.

Seems the job he has got at Barrow is assisting the caretaker manager. Not sure if that means he's just taken the role as a stopgap before a manager's post comes his way again.

Not appointed as a direct replacement for Cox. As an assistant to caretaker Mickey Moore his former assistant at Grimsby and Solihull, whilst search for a permanent manager goes on. Personally wouldn't want him here, his track record at lower level in developing a Solihull up to Conference standard was excellent, but only lasted 6 months at Grimsby, so maybe found his level. If he is that good why have Barrow, or anyone else not appointed him? Yet?

This is what I'm thinking. He has a close relationship with Micky Moore similar to that of Burr and McCarthy. If Micky didn't do so well whilst in interim charge, then I'd assume Barrow will appoint a different manager, and Moore would take Bignot with him. One thing to note is Bignot last week took a new role as head of a football academy at a college in Solihull. Could mean he is only at Barrow part time. Remind you of a certain coach in our management team? Could prove a stumbling block if we were to try and get him. |
