I had been down for three weeks, the Aldershot game gave me a massive lift and sparked my recovery. Even if we hadn't won, I think the game would have been good for my mental health. For a couple of hours you can lose yourself, forget about your troubles and let off steam. That's good for you, although I imagine some of the home performances have been depressing.

Just to add, I’ve begun to quite look forward to the gallows humour with Season ticket holders around me in response to the desperate stuff served up since 2016. It’s like being part of a self help, counselling group and helps to get us all through the 90 minutes. But in all seriousness, surely this has now gone well beyond what is acceptable , and one or two fans (non ST holders) I know, have not been to games since early in the new year because they were just not being entertained , the standard of CFCs performances were so poor , and they feel its not worth their time or money right now . Something significant will have to change to entice these guys back through the turnstiles, perhaps starting with the replacement of McCarthy with an experienced manager who can both organise and have some idea about good attacking play (particularly at home), and then as a gentleman has said the past, we could also do with a cup run ! I also feel, that in the main, the National league lacks attractive fixtures and playing the likes of Borehamwood or Dover, hardly gets the pulses racing and does nothing to help the atmosphere at the Deva - made far worse by the lack of home wins for 9 months and the dearth of exciting attacking football !
