Since Cleggy started playing that awful dirge (is it Muse?) before the teams emerge, our home form has been terrible. Without doubt it is the worst run out music I have ever heard, anywhere. Time to get rid and let's hear something uplifting to raise our spirits.

If it's Muse it is no dirge. I hadn't noticed any music in the last two home games. If someone could enlighten us that would be good.

Should play simply the best like rangers. Ha Ha what are we playing that for Irony? I'd go for 'Zombie Nation' just to try and get a bit of bloody hype into the squad, oldschool trace, shi*te song, but at least gets people going.

Let's have The Jesus and Mary Chain singing "I guess that's why I've always got the Blues".

It's a no brainier. As NWAS has often said, it should be The Story of the Blues by Wah! I'm even tempted to stand for the board on this single issue.

I think "Story Of The Blues" should have been our adopted club anthem. The lyrics suit our tale perfectly. Our pre-match music does absolutely nothing to lift the atmosphere or the crowd. Yes, the speaker system at The Deva leaves a lot to be desired, but it's just not the right sort of music either. Carnival De Paris has been overdone to death. I'd take that run out music we had in 1995-97 over anything else. That includes fucking Gangnam Style. Remember running out to that one?

Why do we have the same music every week for what seems all season. We then change it and it's the same again for months.

I believe Shane at the hospital radio station across the road provides matchday music. Through social media more and more clubs are asking their supporters for requests to be put into a playlist. The club then reveals the playlist for the match with a number of fans selections in. Surely the club can stretch to a Spotify account and maybe this is something they could do? More interaction with the supporters which can only be a good thing. Can't upset Dee though can we?!

The club should ask for suggestions on twitter or Facebook from fans for match day music, after all it is our club.
It does feel like we play the same old songs week in week out.
Final Countdown was always my fave walk out song in the 90's btw.

Zombie Nation is a goats song. Just know it from Ice Hockey, it's on during steelers power play breaks! Never heard it at the racecourse when I've been but wouldn't have listened out for it either.

Only one song I can think of that is apt at the moment, Electronic - Dissapointed....
Don't think anyone over the age of 12 enjoys the cacopony mascarading as music that is played by Cleggy.
Roy Orbison - Penny Arcade would be a great choice,it would get most people singing...just a shame that it's become associated with Glaswegian sectarians...

Mansun - I Can Only Disappoint U
Chester band and a remarkably apt chorus. More seriously, though, Fatboy Slim's Right Here Right Now would build an atmosphere.

One for the McCarthy out brigade, some Stone Roses lyrics: "Down down, you bring me down, I don't want another second in your company".

I think run-out music is all but pointless unless it develops into a ritual and something of a club anthem, and that's not going to happen if we keep changing it. We need to pick a song and stick with it, and play it at the same time every matchday.
About the only song I've never heard anyone complain about is The Story of the Blues. It's relevant, rousing and an all-round good song, and as far as I know, no other club is using it, so let's own it! I've heard it played at the Deva, but it needs to be more than just part of the matchday playlist. Make it the song we run onto the pitch to at 2:55. If we do this often enough, it becomes part of the matchday experience, and all just helps build the sense of passion and belonging that a CFC game should offer.

We tried "Right Here Right Now" a few years back didn't we? The sound system just doesn't really help build the atmosphere though unfortunately and it could never really lift us no matter what we played. The only song I've ever seen get a reaction from the crowd was that Chester City "Hey Baby" remake in our Conference winning days............

Paffendorf - Be Cool
That'd get the crowd and players going.
