Wah's The Story of the Blues was used on the first season back and beyond that too.
It was always a firm favourite of mine and I believe it represented our story hence why I included it from the beginning.
We also then had Right Here, Right Now which funnily enough was met with criticism but I still believe used in the right way it's an atmosphere generator!
There were a few great tunes suggested in my time as media officer, many of which were used, some of which we couldn't use!!!
Dee do indeed provide the music now so maybe a consultation of what should be played to get people going prior to kick off should happen.
Story of the Blues wins hands down for me everytime though.
Great lyrics.

Great lyrics. This has been another on going issue for years now and it is about time we found a tune the majority of fans like and can help lift the game. Maybe the club could run it as a competition and let fans vote on it ? at least it would lift our spirits and entries could be posted online and a vote sheet given out at some matches that way it would stop just anyone from voting? Perhaps you could surjest it mate ?

To sum up how I actually feel every time I stand there and yawn for 90 mins I would go for:
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb

Radiohead - Creep.
Just for the line, "what the hell am I doing here"

Paffendorf - Be Cool That'd get the crowd and players going. This song would only work if Jonny Mac came out of the players tunnel in a battered lowered Corsa with the music blasting out!

This was the track used for years as the team came out during the McNally years at Sealand Road. Never did us any harm. For those who used to go to see the Blues at sealand road, press play on this video and shut your eyes and you can picture yourself behind the goal in the 'Road End, or the Barn with a smell of bovril not far away! Incidentally, we did bring this back for a short while after a fans competition similar to what was suggested earlier in the thread. The other top voted tune was Right Here, Right Now which we did use too. Every season though we'd always have someone not happy with the choice but I guess that's why music is such a personal thing. For my last year during my time in the role we had the Run Boy Run song.

Since Cleggy started playing that awful dirge (is it Muse?) before the teams emerge, our home form has been terrible. Without doubt it is the worst run out music I have ever heard, anywhere. Time to get rid and let's hear something uplifting to raise our spirits. linkThe way JM sets the team up this is more suitable to run out to.

Fanfare for the Common Man always brings back great memories of the Sealand Road End - kicking the corrugated iron at the back, dodging the rust when one went over the bar.. For me tho, has to be Story Of The Blues - great track with lyrics that could have been written specially for the club.

My vote would go to 'The Detectives' by Alan Tew - that would get the ground rocking.

I love how miserable and depressing this band are.
It's much too late for the action You've made this place unbecoming Do I have to stay?
These eyes have one more discovery Will it be wasted on Monday Do I have to stay?
Seems fitting at the moment!
