Could you not call the club on 01244 371376? They did say the other day the phones were back on or e-mail info@chesterfc.com, I guess it’s the best place to ask

Rumours has it that the Hereford game is off and that the club will officially announce it today or tomorrow.
Anyone else getting rather annoyed with the whole thing now, becoming a joke.

I'd say it is very unlikely to be on. Wouldn't be too confident about September 8th being on either. If I was you, I'd aim to attend at Telford on Saturday instead.

I posted last week that Hereford would also be postponed.
The next scheduled home game is 8th September vs Bradford PA. That was always a realistic target in my mind. Unfortunately due to FA rules/regulations/protocol means that we have to take "baby steps" until the whole ground damage situation is contained and repaired. ie The drip feed announcements are not our clubs fault.

Just asking the question no way am I annoyed as B4L may be suggesting but even if the club aren't sure at this actual moment there must surely be a cut off for any type of announcement as I'm sure s lot of Hereford fans will have travel plans in place

Whilst it is annoying, it's more frustrating and worrying more than anything. We've lost a lot of support over the last few seasons, mainly due to lack of interest. I worry all the hard work done by the club over the summer will be lost and the majority of fans who were apathetic previously and were keen to get back on board amidst all the positivity will once again stay away.

A major concern for me is getting cut adrift of the promotion contenders. I'm realistic enough not to expect us to be winning this league but a play off push should be possible, however if we were to lose at Telford (very possible) we would really be playing catch up, and with no momentum, slightly concerning I'd say.

If the rumours are true this could be what they are waiting for. Please also remember that at present we are without a club Secretary who would normally deal with all communication with the league and other clubs.

Yes, Calvin Hughes being volunteer Football Secretary for the first 4 seasons of Chester FC really doomed us.

This is getting stupid now. I’ve got a season ticket and will be working away for most of the season probably now so missing out on potentially 3 games. Annoying.

Not blaming anyone but carnt help thinking it’s probably the insurance company dragging their heels a bit Tbf you're quoting clubs with multiple millions in their bank accounts. Any issues with damage they can afford to pay it out of their own pockets. We don't have that luxury

Whilst it’s completely unavoidable the current situation at the club. It’s now becoming frustrating after this latest pp game. We are going to be some way behind the pace not to mention the considerable time elapsed sine the Blyth mauling. As others have pointed out lost revenue and interest likely to dwindle away. It’s all very sad.

It’s all very sad. Plus, and I'm not saying it WILL happen, but there's a growing possibility that we could have 3 maybe 4 home games on the bounce at some point later in the season. Many people may not be able to cough up £50-60 in such a short period so this will also affect attendances. The gods truly seem to be against us at the moment but it's all part and parcel of following Chester FC I suppose.
