Right let's get back to football our first game since that drubbing at Blyth. Not too confident about this one they've got of to a reasonable start I'll go for 1-1 with 484 blues in attendance

Don't know how to predict this one. That itching to get back at it after Blyth may have worn off, or it may have built up, who knows. I'll go with a 1-1 draw with 578 Blues.

It certainly has been a turbulent fortnight after an exciting Summer - only at Chester would that happen. At least for the time being though, we can talk a little bit more about football and I can’t wait to see us back in action again. Some can argue that our lack of match action will turn into a blessing in disguise. Our players will have had two whole weeks to clear the Blyth defeat out of there heads, regroup together and start afresh, so hopefully we will see a different Chester side out on the field this weekend.
AFC Telford United have made a really strong start this season, and this won’t be the best of games to get a reaction out of. The Shropshire club signed some good players in the Summer and could prove a few wrong. This is a fairly local fixture so I would hope that we take a strong following.
I understand that not everybody is happy right now, but all I’m thinking to myself is that ‘’the season starts now for us’’. We have had a ‘mini pre-season’ to get over ourselves, sort out what went wrong and now we must start to climb up the table. We must support our team from the first whistle to the last, without any abuse, and hope that they can turn things around as we still have 39 matches to play. Come On You Blues! Score: AFC Telford United 1-2 Chester FC (Grand, Hughes) Attendance: 1,403 (549 Chester) COYB!

Telford unbeaten so far with three wins and two draws, Daniel Udoh on fire and Adam Dawson who turned us down to sign for them also featuring. Should be a tough game, I'll take a draw. It does feel like opening day again, doesn't it?!

This game will tell us an awful lot about the type of players/managers we have.
If this were last season it'd have been a case of 'as you were' will be interesting to see how we react. It is a tough game but with the players we have it is a game we should be winning.
Roberts will be a huge miss and we are short up front but I still believe we can field an XI that can beat anyone in this division. We've had two weeks to work on a system that suits the players we have.
Can't wait!

Giving this one a miss but can see 500 blues making the trip. Anyone parking at the ground to go on the coaches do not leave anything on show in your cars as travellers are parked up behind the south stand !!!

We only have 13 senior players available by my reckoning so changes to formation and team is very difficult. We are crying out for a couple of signings to beef up the squad. Can we name a full bench now we've loaned most of youngsters out ? Really hope we can at least get a point from this one after Blyth disaster.

Got to be a 4-2-3-1 for me.
Pritchard Grand Livesey Smalley
Burton Stopforth
Hughes Mooney Mahon
Dudley
When we get everybody fit, there'd be a few changes but for where we currently are I'd say it's our best bet. Shame Nathan Brown is out on loan, think he'd have got some minutes on Saturday.

Not sure why people think that on paper, we should be beating Telford. I think they have some very good players for this level and I think that they might be too strong for us.
I’ll be there though and hoping for a positive result. Crazy to think that this is only our 4th game yet there is a feeling that we can’t afford to lose and fall further behind the leaders.

Think we’ll get a point, and I’ll take that after the last few weeks. Looking forward to seeing a big blues following there, and after his comment above, hopefully Whopper 1 is not amongst them!

Looking forward to seeing a big blues following there, and after his comment above, hopefully Whopper 1 is not amongst them! Why ~~~ I think his prediction is a fair reflection of where we're at ~ depleted squad (injuries, suspensions and departures), probably injured pride and playing a team in the upper reaches. Would think a point would be like a victory at this stage.

With all this rain around and our luck of late, will the game be on?

Very hard to predict what will happen tomorrow. We’ve had a competitive draw, an impressive away win, a disgraceful thrashing and then a fortnight without a fixture - a weird start to a season even by our standards.
No result would surprise me at Telford. We might get thrashed again, we might win easily, we might scrape a draw. Honestly no idea.

If they play like they did against us then you will have a tough game - they played some excellent attacking football, defended well and got a deserved 3-1 win.

Tough, tough game this, especially with the players out, can't see us winning but can see a much improved performance than the Blyth game 2-2 ( Livesey, Prichard )
670 Blues

Only at Chester could you have a two week break and still end up with less players available!

I'm with Lobster; no real idea what the outcome might be, but heart says it will be a Blue victory.....possibly by three goals to one.

Hope not - am getting cold turkey without football for this long. Last time I went to Telfor we were playing them in FA Trophy and it chucked it down then with standing water/mud in one corner and it still went ahead - here’s hoping.
