Crewe away at Wrexham on the same day as well. Surely this gets moved to Friday night?

It might not be Saturday as it is Chester races that day so might be Friday night or Sunday afternoon What are you basing that on? Be surprised if the attendance is over 2k. He said Klole Hall was playing shit when he wasn’t in the squad on Saturday. Wouldn’t listen to him mate.

Exactly, with pay on the gate for everyone or now advanced tickets i can only see 1,800 tops. Recent cup games at home Marine - 1,296 AFC Liverpool - 1806 Pontefract - 1,502

We’ve played plenty of times at home on a race day before, and this will have a lower crowd than most of those occasions.

We've had many games on the same day as the races, and with this being a Cup match at home to lower opposition I don't think we'll be much higher than 1,500 in attendance.

Wonder if the Blues Bar will put in a Chester Races surcharge like a lot of Chester Alcohol Establishments 😊

Yep the Wxm game was an early kick-off on a Saturday in October 2015. Remember it being quite misty.

Probably habit due to the police. Was a rare Saturday to be fair. The only one I can ever remember.
They even tried to make us play at noon on a fucking working weekday. Thank Christ for the frozen pitch that day. Rearranged game was a Wednesday night - 2-1 Ben Davies and Derek Asamoah.

Probably habit due to the police. Was a rare Saturday to be fair. The only one I can ever remember. Since reforming I think seven of the ten meetings with Wrexham have been on a Saturday, including three games at the Deva. Just about the one positive to come out of the bubble arrangements was that we no longer had to play them at noon on a Sunday (apart from the last one at their place, when the bubble was no longer in operation).

Confirmed as 3pm on Saturday 30th September.
Cheshire Police won't know what to do with themselves.

Did used to be a bit of a no no to play on the same day as the races and we've had games moved before. Police seemed to have realised it's fine though, especially with race crowds down on what they used to be as well. Only four 20k+ crowds since Covid, used to get more than that in one year. Averaged 18k Saturday's this year.
Noticed that Doncaster and York often play same day at home as their tracks now as well.

I'd of thought any change would have been more to do with resources being stretched as Wrexham are at home to Crewe on the same day on top of races (and our restrictions/over policing of every home game at the minute).

Can't see anymore than 1,800 for our game anyway, with the added restrictions with pay on the gate. Nantwich only average 400 at home so they'll bring 100 tops for a cup final.

There'll be a few season ticket holders like myself who won't pay extra for another game just yet too, until it gets more enticing.
I did Oldham away and home (and the Brackley play-off game) but didn't do the Hanley or Pontefract games or Lancaster in the Trophy - they didn't appeal.

There'll also be many season ticket holders like myself who are looking forward to the cup match and will willing pay the additional entry fee to watch our team progress to the next round

I see it as just another match, but I have to pay for cup games. This is extra revenue for the club.

Don't get why you'd not go and support the team, if it was on the season ticket you'd go. Weird mentality
