Might have been asked before no doubt but any coverage of the draw tomorrow? I can never understand why cup draws(not just fa cup)well the early rounds are not shown in some form at fa headquarters Don't need anything fancy just team names drawn out(not numbers) and put on a whiteboard and webcam set up so the public can view if they wish It also ensures fair play and the draw is done properly (not that I'm saying it's corrupt you understand) Maybe something is in place I've just not heard of it Currently we just get a list once the draw has been made it seems so bland so to speak

I'm pretty sure in the early stages the draw is not done in the traditional way of drawing balls out of a hat. It's regionalised for a start so they would have to do more than one draw. It's probably all done by a computer.

Seems very strange don't you agree that early rounds are computer generated but from the final qualifying round it's back to the balls in the bag method tradition I expect

Aye there is no “draw” for the qualifying rounds - the FA just publish the draw in full at 1pm.
Sorry, appreciate there’s a similar thread.

A tie against one of the lowest sides at home is what I’m hoping for, to give us the best possible chance of progressing even further. Morpeth Town, Mickleover Sports, or even the winner of the replay between Mossley and Emley would do for me. I actually wouldn’t mind Macclesfield FC at home either. I’m sure a bumper crowd would attend that game, and I’d fancy our chances, but let’s just wait and see…

Could do with a home tie, to keep a few quid coming in, before Peterborough Sports on 7th October.

Mossley/Emley at home for me. No mucking about with "days out" and stuff at this stage. I just want the tie that gives us the best chance of progressing.

1 Farsley Celtic OR Scarborough Athletic 2 Blyth Spartans OR Bradford (Park Avenue) 3 Hyde United 4 Warrington Rylands 5 Curzon Ashton 6 Runcorn Linnets OR Chorley 7 Darlington 8 Lancaster City 9 Spennymoor Town OR Marine 10 Morpeth Town 11 Chester 12 South Shields 13 Ashton United OR Atherton Collieries 14 Whitby Town 15 Mossley OR Emley
Quite how the FA work out that Morpeth and Blyth are more "zonal" to us than Macclesfield is another matter.

Said boffins have presumably failed to spot that 15 teams is an uneven number and that therefore it’s unlikely to be exactly how our section works for the draw.

Got to be a home draw at this stage just to give us that extra bit of comfort zone. Need to make 4th rd qualifying again at least

Whitby A for me. Great memories of a weekend in Scarborough for an easy away win back in the day. Nearly drank the Whitby clubhouse dry.

A nice easy trip to Atherton Collieries (if they get through); Barry Butler our former midfield/defender played for Atherton Laburnum FC, unsure if they are one of the same team?

We played Leigh Genesis in our debut season at Atherton LR's ground

Could have just been me misunderstanding the technicalities of the draw.

Got to be happy with that. Let's just hope Iain Howard and Chris Simm don't show up late this time!

Would imagine Macclesfield v Warrington Rylands would be the BBC streaming pick - unless they're waiting for Macc to make the first round proper.

Take that.
Should take nothing for granted but I hope we’ll have too much for them.
Another shite team final qualifier and let’s line up Portsmouth, Bolton, Derby.

Riddle me that one.
