Leek Town v South Shields is the BBC's choice this time. Thought that sounded a dull option at first but can't really see too much better in that draw.

Think they’ll be waiting for Macc and Savage to make the first round proper.
Macc v Warrington Rylands was the only other standout but they’re in the same division aren’t they? Whereas big money South Shields with a fairly big name manager, third in our league so one of the highest ranked sides remaining at this stage… away to a side in the eighth tier, two leagues below them (Northern Premier League Div 1 West - the level we started at when reformed).

Coalville v Tamworth is also two high-flying clubs, and could probably pass as a derby. I think Tamworth just pipped Coalville to promotion last season so there's a possible back story there.

Thought they might have gone for Winchester v Maidstone, which isn’t that different to our tie last week really. Leek v South Shields seems a decent enough choice though.

Don't they still do that "follow a team" thingy where they pick a club at the start and keep following it (or the team that knocks them out) through the competition?

Don’t think they’ve ever done that for televised games? Would be incredibly unfair for the same team to be getting multiple amounts of TV money.
I do recall something along those lines in the old Match Of The Day magazine back in the late 90s/early 00s though. Sure our game away at Blackburn was part of it.

I think that was something they used to do on Football Focus Which reading the news today looks as if it due to be scrapped. Tremendous drop off in viewing figures apparently. Must admit I haven't watched Football Focus for donkeys years!

I think they may have picked us up at the Easington Colliery qualifier and stayed with us through the Plymouth and Oxford games.

Didn't Bob Wilson used to present it back in the day?

Don't get why you'd not go and support the team, if it was on the season ticket you'd go. Weird mentality A lot of season ticket holders from all clubs up and down the country, whichever league, choose to miss Cup ties against weaker opposition, especially in the early rounds... it's been happening for years and will continue to do so. Not really a weird mentallity when watching a team from maybe 2 or 3 leagues below doesn't appeal to some people, especially if money is a bit tight.

I think I'm going to give the hospitality option a go for this match; just had the email off the club probably be cheaper than taking my daughter and having to stump up for dirty Fries and sundry drinks for her in the stand!

1,100 sold for Saturday with the rest of the week to go. Not too bad. We should be looking at 1,700/800? Decent prices, as is the hospitality.

Nantwich lost 1-0 at Hanley tonight. Probably a game they could have done without. Hopefully tire them a bit for Saturday.

Chester v Nantwich Wrexham v Crewe (change at Chester) Chester Races Oktoberfest day but rail strikes That is a point of a strike to be fair - workers maximise inconvenience, prove their collective worth.

Neither Transport for Wales or Merseyrail are on strike so not much of an impact on any of the three really.

Avanti West Coast run between Crewe and Chester - they’re striking.
And why do you assume race goers are only from Merseyside? Could literally be arriving from anywhere in the U.K.
Not a fail at all Dom.

Did you work that out when you were a mod and were looking up posters e-mails and their Facebook profiles, in between wanking in the toilets whilst you were meant to be a 'front line worker' you weird little blurt
