Just in case no-one looked at away day thread. Transpennine trains have a £1 single sale on till 19th Jan. So a return to Scunthorpe is £2. So find out your nearest station this side of pennines mine was Warrington.

Good spot this, might be possibilities for Farsley and Buxton as well.

we got ours sorted, but why so few ? Initial allocation most likely, more blocks should open up as we sell more tickets

we got ours sorted, but why so few ? Probably get a few more but not many. They’re closing half the away end for home fans.

The capacity of Glanford Park is roughly 9000. I always thought away fans got 10% of the capacity so shouldn't we be getting around 900 tickets ?.

Sure it’s just the cup when certain percent. Away end holds 1,678 and they’re having half for home fans for community day. So half of that is 839, plus segregation maybe 700?

Should have had a Community Day when they were playing someone who doesn't take many away. Plenty of games to choose from there.

Their community day's main selling point is that they're trying to break NLN league game attendance record (excl. playoffs), hence why we've been chosen I imagine because of our away following.

Finished on the 19th. 👍🏼 Go on Trainline mate (or any other train site) and you can get trains cheaper with the British Rail Sale. Just had a quick look and there is returns from Piccadilly for about £26 would just have to get a ticket to Manchester. Might save a few quid.

Anyone know if we're definitely being allocated more tickets as we will certainly sell the 400. Personally I think they should give us the whole away end but I'm old fashioned like that.

Would have thought so. I actually wonder if there's a bit of clever marketing about it. Make a paltry number of tickets available at first so that people rush to buy them, especially when we've just had a couple of decent results.

They'll let us sell the first allocation before they announce how many tickets are being given to the community.

Top marks to supporters nowadays. I don't travel anymore, in my day you just turned up and paid at the turnstile and that was that.
It seems nowadays you have to jump through hoops to watch an away game. Fair play to you for putting up with all the mither.

This season has been like no other being a Chester fan, close to sell ours at home, Warrington away and now Scunthorpe. But it's better this way isn't it?

If my calculations are correct we've currently sold 405 tickets out of 452 allocated. Going to be a good day out.
