Been ages since I created a match thread, so thought I’d start one given I’m in the mood. The next day or so is going to be an absolute whirlwind for me, as somehow I’m going to brave this absolute stinker of a journey to Peterborough on a Tuesday night right before a university trip. I went there on the Hipkiss last season early on in August, and we got there just an hour before kick-off, so I reckon it’ll be another ball ache of a journey again. It’s most likely that I’ll get back at around 02:00 tomorrow (Wednesday morning), and as I’ll wake up to go on a trip to Madrid at 05:00 on Wednesday, it’s going to be a very long day for sure. Shame that I won’t do ‘The Card’ this campaign as the only match I’ll miss all season will be Scarborough Athletic at home, but not every day you get the opportunity to go abroad!!
Anyway, onto this game, and this really is one that we have to win. We only have one match in hand (as of now) until the end of the season, which is this one, and one that we must be taking advantage of. Last Saturday against Banbury United we played some fantastic footy, and should’ve beaten them by a handful of goals, but that didn’t happen as has been the case throughout the season, where we’ve failed to be clinical in front of goal. Peterborough Sports are another side who are a fair few places below us, so we must learn how to finish them off tonight, because as of now we have no games in hand left. Need to make our quality count! Safe journey to everybody else making the grim-looking trip to Cambridgeshire - let’s hope our loyalty will be rewarded!!
Score - Peterborough Sports 0-1 Chester FC (Weeks).
Attendance - 367 (76 Chester FC).

I honestly don't know what to expect in our games this season. We could give away a silly goal and then fail to break them down, or we could turn it on and put a few past them. I'll go for somewhere in between this time, a tight game which we edge 1-0 thanks to Peers.

Going to remain optimistic and go for a 0-1 win.
However, a 0-0 or even a 1-0 loss wouldn’t surprise me.
Really hope we can get three points. I was supposed to be going to this game originally before it got rearranged to a bloody Tuesday night. No chance now. Make me regret I didn’t come along lads!

Could do with a win really couldn't we? The smart money is probably on a 0-0 but hopefully we'll sneak one.

2-1 P’boro, 75 Blues We’re having an under-par season with our strikers not firing on all cylinders. So unless a midfielder finds his shooting boots, can’t see us winning.

I'm considering making the trip tonight as it's 90mins from me. Weather looks rubbish - is the standing covered or is it all open?

After 31 games last season we had one more point. Yes we were scoring more goals, but we are still picking up points.

Never been to the ground so a new one for me

I'll look for the Chester scarves! Do you know what parking is like? It looks on Google maps like you can just park on the street?

Respect anyone going, just no way I can make somewhere like Peterborough mid week.
I think 2-1 to us. TOP SCORER GLENDON and Peers.
Don’t have a clue what they average so I’ll say 295 with 75 blues.

You'd wouldn't expect there would many goals in this tonight. Peterborough have only conceded 5 in 7. We've conceded 3 in 7.
Sometimes though an early goal can change a game.
On the assumption there isn't an early goal, I'll go 0-0. Not there tonight, so I'll be listening in on Blues Live. I'll be standing before the game for a minutes applause for all the travelling Blues.

Either a 0-0 or we will turn them over 3-0, up there with the worst away the season. Miles away, Tuesday night and weather is terrible
